Dahongmen Street is connected with Nanyuan District (township), He Yi Street, Nanyuan Street and Daxing District in the south, staggered with Nanyuan District (township) five villages, bordered by Chaoyang District in the east, bordered by Xiluoyuan Street and Majiapu Street in the west, and bordered by Dongtiejiangying Street and Xiluoyuan Street in the north.

Nanyuan Township covers the area from the north of Dahongmen to Zuo 'anmen, Yongdingmen and You 'anmen. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was a place where dignitaries built tombs and gardens. The historical evolution of the two:

1958 On May 24th, according to the official reply of the State Council, the organizational system of Nanyuan District in Beijing was revoked and placed under the jurisdiction of Fengtai District, Chaoyang District and Daxing County respectively. Among them, it is under the jurisdiction of Fengtai District: Nanyuan, Dahongmen, East Blacksmith Camp, You 'anmen and Huaifang Township.

Dahongmen Township 1958 was changed to Dahongmen Street and merged into Nanyuan Commune in the same year. Dahongmen City Commune was built in 1960, and 1966 was changed to Dahongmen Street.

1984 On March 26th, with the approval of Beijing Municipal People's Government (J.F.Zheng [1984] No.53), it was agreed to set up Nanyuan Township Office in Fengtai District, as the dispatched office of Fengtai District People's Government, with the former Nanyuan People's Commune as the administrative area of the township office, and the office was located in the former Dahongmen Commune.

1February 6, 987, with the approval of the Municipal People's Government (J.F.J. [1987] No.9), it was agreed to cancel Nanyuan Township Office in Fengtai District and establish Nanyuan Township People's Government. Nanyuan Township belongs to Fengtai District, Beijing, and its affiliation has not changed so far.
