Chiping Mountain is located in Chiping County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province. It is said that Chiping County is named after chiping Mountain, which means chiping Mountain and the surrounding flat land. There are different opinions about the location of Gushan. According to research, Gushan is a' big sand dune' in the northwest of Jiaochangpu village, 40 miles south of the county seat, and the locals call it' Jinniu Mountain'. This mountain is 6 meters high, 250 meters from east to west and 200 meters from north to south, with a total area of 50,000 square meters. The whole sand dune is high in the east and low in the west, as strong as a lying cow. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, this mountain was called Mang Niu Shan. On Wednesday, the outlaw took the mountain as the king. At that time, the trees on the mountain were towering, and the foot of the mountain was surrounded by water. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, the Japanese army built turrets here. For a long time, the local people have always been in awe of this mountain, calling it "Shenshan" and calling the fine sand produced on the mountain "Shensha".
As for the origin of this mountain, there is a local saying that a long time ago, a rich man in Tao Qiu village in southern Shaanxi raised 99 cows. When the cows were driven to the front of the mountain to drink water, the number of cows counted became 100. The cowherd wants to know how there is an extra cow. The rich and the people in the village are also surprised. Later, a warlock in the south of the Yangtze River called this pass, saying that there was a golden bull hiding in it, lying on this mountain, eating grass quietly every night and drinking water with the cows. It is said that this cow ran out of Wang Cai Guazhuang and broke a horn. Since then, people have called this mountain Jinniu Mountain.
