biography
Early experience
Empress Xuan was originally from the State of Chu, and later became the concubine of King Qin Huiwen, known as the Seven Babies. 306 years ago, Qin Wuwang died lifting a tripod. Because Qin Wuwang had no children, his younger brothers competed for the throne. King Wuling of Zhao sent county magistrate Zhao Gu to send her son Ji, who was taken hostage in Yan State, back to Qin State. With the help of Xuan Di's half-brother, his son Ji succeeded to the throne, that is, the King of Qin. Wei Ran then put down the turmoil in the royal family for the throne, so that Huiwen and Gongzi Zhuang and Gongzi Yong were killed. After mourning, they were deported to Wei, and all the sons who were at odds with the king of Qin were eliminated. Because Qin was a young king, Empress Xuan served as Empress Dowager, and Wei Ran assisted him.
In charge of state affairs
In the first 307 years, Chu Huaiwang sent troops to surround the Yong family in South Korea (now northeast of Yuzhou, Henan), but failed to conquer it for five months. Han Xiangwang sent messengers to the State of Qin for help many times, but the army of the State of Qin remained on hold. Han Xiangwang sent Shang to Qin, and Shang Jin persuaded Qin to send troops to rescue as soon as possible. Queen Xuan refused to send troops to help because her hometown was Chu. She called Shang Jin and said to him, "When I was working under King Qin Huiwen, the king put his thigh on me, and I felt tired and uncomfortable. I didn't feel heavy when he put his whole body on me, because it was more comfortable for me. Qin wants to help Korea. If there are insufficient troops and food and grass, it is impossible to save South Korea. Saving the crisis in South Korea costs tens of millions of dollars a day, which is good for me and Qin? " So Han Xiangwang sent Zhang Cui to the State of Qin. Gan Mao believed that once South Korea took refuge in Chu, Chu and South Korea would hold Wei against Qin, and he advocated that Qin immediately sent troops to rescue South Korea. Zhao Haoqi, king of Qin Xiang, ordered troops, and Chu withdrew after hearing the news.
