Huazhong University of Science and Technology has 12 liberal arts departments, including School of Management, School of Economics, School of Public Administration, School of Education Science, School of Journalism and Information Communication, Department of Sociology, School of Law, School of Humanities (including China Language and Literature Department, Philosophy Department and History Research Institute), School of Marxism and School of Foreign Languages.

School of Management, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, was founded in 1979, and has experienced the development process from the initial engineering economics department, management engineering department, economic management school, business administration school to management school.

There are more than 5,000 students in the college, including undergraduate students 1.200, master students 1.600 (including MBA), doctoral students 260 and graduate students 2 1.000. The college has an excellent faculty who is proficient in the world's advanced management concepts and familiar with the development experience of enterprises in China. The college has seven departments: production operation and logistics management, management science and information management, business administration, finance and accounting, finance and financial management, science and technology management and intellectual property. At present, there are 24 research institutes including Modern Information Management Research Center (provincial key research base of humanities and social sciences), Electronic Commerce Center (university level), Intellectual Property Strategy Research Institute (university level) and South Asia school of economics and management (university level). Journal of Management, an academic journal undertaken by our college, was founded only three years ago, and was recognized as a periodical source by China Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) in 2007.

At present, the college has two first-class disciplines, namely, management science and engineering and business administration, and has postdoctoral research stations, among which the first-class discipline of management science and engineering is the national key discipline (cultivation) and the first-class discipline of business administration is the key discipline of Hubei Province. There are six master's degree authorization points in management science and engineering, enterprise management, accounting, technical economy and management, intellectual property management and economic law, and three professional master's degree authorization points in business administration (MBA/EMBA), industrial engineering and engineering management. There are seven undergraduate majors, including business administration, marketing, information management and information system, financial management, finance, accounting and logistics management, and business administration 1 double-degree major. 2. School of Economics The School of Economics of Huazhong University of Science and Technology is one of the well-known schools of economics in China. Strong school-running strength, rapid development of disciplines and strong teachers. 3. School of Public Administration: Huazhong University of Science and Technology is one of the earliest universities in China to offer majors related to public administration, and has the right to award master's and doctoral degrees in public administration. It has trained master's and doctoral students in five two disciplines cities, including administration, land resources management, social security, social medicine and health management, and education economy and management. The college has independently set up two doctoral programs in e-government, public safety and emergency management, and has taken the lead in training doctoral and master's students in these two majors in China. At present, the College provides the most complete bachelor's degree, master's degree and academic education in the field of public administration in China, and has a postdoctoral mobile station in public administration. 4. Academy of Educational Sciences The Academy of Educational Sciences was established in February 2000, formerly known as the Higher Education Research Office, and was established in June 2000. On February 6, 2000, the Institute of Higher Education merged with the National College Students' Cultural Quality Education Base, the Wuhan Research Base of the National Center for Degree and Postgraduate Education Development, and the Higher Engineering Education Research Magazine to form the Institute of Educational Science. The specialty of higher education is the specialty of our college. As early as 1986, the Institute of Higher Education of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, as the predecessor of our college, was awarded a master's degree in higher education, which was one of the earliest institutions in China that began to train high-level talents in this major. From 65438 to 0996, this major was granted the right to confer doctoral degrees, which became one of the only four doctoral programs in higher education in China at that time. Approved as a national key discipline in 2007, it is one of the only two national key disciplines of higher education in China. 5. School of Journalism and Information Communication: The school has the right to award doctoral and master's degrees in journalism and communication. It is one of the only six doctoral programs in journalism and communication in colleges and universities in China. It has a postdoctoral mobile station in journalism and communication and a key liberal arts base in Hubei Province-Media Technology and Communication Development Research Center. At the same time, journalism was rated as a brand major and a national major in Hubei Province.

Sociology The Sociology Department of Huazhong University of Science and Technology is one of the earliest universities that resumed sociology teaching and research after the reform and opening up in China. At present, the department has two doctoral programs in sociology and social security; Master's degree in sociology and two master's degrees in social security and applied psychology; Sociology was designated as a key discipline in Hubei Province in 2008.

7. Law School Huazhong University of Science and Technology Law School is a newly-built first-class law school in China. The law discipline of Huazhong University of Science and Technology can be traced back to the 1980s. Under the impetus of the World Intellectual Property Organization and the China Patent Office, the former Huazhong Institute of Technology opened a dual-degree course on intellectual property, which became one of the earliest universities in China to carry out higher education and professional research on intellectual property, and trained the first batch of senior intellectual property talents in New China. Teachers and scientific research

There are 54 full-time teachers. 8. The Chinese Department of China Language and Literature Department was founded in 1980 as the Chinese teaching and research section and the Institute of Linguistics (the first director was the famous linguist Mr. Yan Xueyou), and was formally established in 1985, with Professor Huang Guoying, Professor Wei Chi-ping and Professor Wang Ping as the department heads successively. Why is the current dean Professor Zhang Xi?

The Chinese Department now has two undergraduate majors: Chinese Language and Literature and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. It has the right to award master's degrees in first-class disciplines (including eight master's degrees in literature and art, linguistics and applied linguistics, Chinese philology, ancient literature in China, modern and contemporary literature in China, world literature and comparative literature), and has the right to award doctoral degrees in linguistics and applied linguistics, and has established a master's degree in Chinese international education. Philosophy Department 1970, the former Huazhong Institute of Technology took the lead in establishing liberal arts among universities of science and engineering in China, and philosophy was one of them; 1980 established the philosophy department, 1996 established the philosophy department, and implemented the system of merging departments. In 2000, after the establishment of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school set up a philosophy undergraduate major, and officially enrolled students in 200 1 year.

According to the school's long-term development strategy, the discipline of history will give full play to the professional expertise of instructors and recruit graduate students in the fields of Chinese studies, academic and cultural history of Song Dynasty, political and cultural history of China, folk culture history of China, historical culture and tourism, academic and cultural history of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, and historical and ideological history.

1 1. Marxist Institute was established in September 2007, and its predecessor was the Department of Political Education. 12, School of Foreign Languages The School of Foreign Languages of Huazhong University of Science and Technology was founded in 1980, and its predecessor was the Department of Foreign Languages of Huazhong University of Science and Technology; 1988 was renamed the Foreign Languages Department of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In May 2000, the former Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji Medical University and Wuhan Urban Construction College merged to form Huazhong University of Science and Technology. At the same time, the former Foreign Languages Department of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the former Foreign Languages Department of Tongji Medical University and the former Foreign Languages Department of Wuhan Urban Construction College merged to form the Foreign Languages Department of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In June 2005, the School of Foreign Languages of Huazhong University of Science and Technology was established.

At the end of 2007, the annual academic journal Foreign Language Education sponsored by the College was officially included in the online publishing database of academic journals in China.

The college has four departments: English, Japanese, German and Translation. Among them, the Japanese department has the strongest strength and rich alumni resources. Translation Department is the first translation department in Central China, and it began to recruit students in 2009.
