IPhone 13 Method of Identifying Original Products In iOS 15, Apple has added a part and maintenance history section in the setup application, through which users can know the maintenance history of their iPhone and check whether the parts used for maintenance are genuine.
In a new supporting document, Apple said that iPhone users who have installed iOS 15.2 or later can enter Settings >; General > is about to view the history of parts and services, and you can see this information if repairs have been made.
Apple will provide different parts information according to the iPhone model:
* For iPhone XR, XS, XS Max and newer models, including iPhone SE (second generation), you can check whether the battery has been replaced.
* For iPhone 1 1, iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, you can check whether the battery or display has been replaced.
* For iPhone 12 and iPhone 13, you can check whether the battery, display screen or camera has been replaced.
If Apple's genuine parts and tools are used for maintenance, Apple's genuine parts will be displayed next to the maintenance parts.
If the component is not installed correctly, or the component is not genuine, or the component has been used or installed on another iPhone, or the component does not achieve the expected function, unknown component information will be displayed.
In previous versions of iOS, users could only see whether the replaced parts were identified as unknown parts.
Apple said that the information in the service history will not affect the ability to use the iPhone, its battery, display or camera.
This information is collected and stored on the device, and Apple uses it for service requirements, security analysis and future product improvement.
While adding parts and service history to the iPhone, Apple also made some changes to the iPhone 13 model.
Previously, in the absence of special tools and parts provided by Apple, replacing the broken display of iPhone 13 would invalidate Face ID, and iOS 15.2 no longer disabled Face ID.
