Importance of ink cartridge
Ink cartridges play a very important role in the whole inkjet printer, especially in some low-end printers, which have reached the price of 2 boxes of ink = 1 printer. Therefore, when buying a printer, we must consider the situation of ink cartridges. Ink cartridge is an important part of inkjet printer, and its quality will directly affect the printing effect of inkjet printer. At the same time, the ink cartridge is also a component prone to failure. Cleaning method of print head

Ink-jet printers will have problems such as unclear printing, breakpoints and broken lines after they are not used for a long time or after they are used for a period of time. At this time, it needs to be solved by cleaning the print head. Most inkjet printers automatically clean the print head when they are turned on, and there is a button to clean the print head. For example, most of Canon's inkjet printers have three cleaning functions: quick cleaning, routine cleaning and thorough cleaning. Please refer to the steps in the operation manual of inkjet printer for specific cleaning operation. However, if the printing is still unsatisfactory after several times of continuous cleaning, it should be that the ink has been used up and the ink cartridge needs to be replaced. When the ink cartridge is not used up, it is best not to take it down, otherwise it will cause ink waste or metering error of the printer. Generally speaking, the printer ink will not deteriorate in a short time in the printer, so we don't need to take out the ink cartridge. But if your printer is not used for a long time, you need to take out the ink cartridge, which can prevent the ink from deteriorating and ensure the life of the nozzle.

If the automatic cleaning method fails, it proves that the blockage is serious, which is generally caused by the printer not being used for a long time or the power failure during use and the nozzle not being reset. It is an ink-saving cleaning method to aim the syringe at the nozzle and constantly pull the pressure device to let the high-speed air flow clean the nozzle and suck out the residual ink.

If the above manual cleaning method fails, you need to prepare to disassemble the printer for the following operations. First of all, turn off the power supply, unplug the plug and completely disconnect the power supply. Remove the moving shaft and rotating belt, then carefully pick up the print head and rinse it with distilled water. Then an injection system consisting of a syringe and a hose is inserted into the ink inlet for cleaning. Be very careful in these two steps. Do not let water touch the circuit board. If the circuit board is unfortunately wet, you should blow dry it with a hair dryer immediately. Finally, put it back in the printer and execute the software cleaning program again to let the ink wash away the distilled water in the nozzle.

An integrated print head that has been left for a long time will be blocked when the ink is dry. You can soak it in hot water before cleaning it. Pay attention to the following points when cleaning the print head: a, don't clean the nozzle with sharp objects, don't hit the nozzle, and don't touch the nozzle with your hands; B, can't remove and install the nozzle in the charged state, and don't touch the electrical contact of the printing carriage with hands or other objects; C, can't remove the nozzle from the printer and place it alone, and can't put the nozzle in a dusty place. Some printers do not measure the ink consumption by detecting the ink in the ink cartridge, but by calculating the total printed amount of characters. To be on the safe side, the manufacturer puts much more ink in the ink cartridge than the rated ink consumption of this "counter". We can set the "counter" to zero by "fake ink change", so that the original ink cartridge can still be used for printing as long as it has ink.

Take Epson-color series inkjet printers as an example.

The specific operation method is as follows: When the "ink shortage indicator light" on the printer flashes, press the "ink change button" on the printer panel, and the ink cartridge holder will automatically slide to the ink change position, and the cover of the ink cartridge holder will be uncovered, but do not take out the ink cartridge, then close the cover of the ink cartridge holder, and then press the ink change button on the printer panel, and the printer will start to fill ink. When the ink is full, you will see that the ink indicator bar in the printer operation interface is full again. Now you can use this scrapped ink cartridge again. After "fake ink change", all the ink in the ink cartridge can be consumed, at least the original printing volume can be increased by more than 50%.

The problem after "fake ink change" is that when the ink in the ink cartridge is really used up, the ink cartridge cannot be replaced in the usual way. However, you can press the cleaning button, and when the ink cartridge holder reaches the position of replacing the ink cartridge, you can forcibly turn off the power supply of the printer, so that you can lift the cover of the ink cartridge holder and take out the ink cartridge without ink. Do not put in a new ink cartridge at this time, and turn on the printer again. At this time, when the printer detects that there is no ink, the "ink shortage indicator" will flash, and then you can change the ink in the normal way.

Epson's instructions say that the ink cartridge can't be used after it is removed. The reason is that due to the special structure of the ink cartridge, if the ink cartridge is disassembled in half, air will enter the nozzle pipeline, resulting in disconnection during printing. Moreover, at this time, the disconnection needs to be cleaned several times to pump out the air, which will waste a lot of ink. So in order to prevent this from happening, the user will not handle it, and Epson warns the user that the ink cartridge cannot be used after it is removed. Of course, the effect of this method on some printers is not ideal. (1) Ink Filling in the Ink Cartridge of Epson Printer

Filling method of black and white ink cartridge;

When the black ink lamp of the printer is on, take out the black ink cartridge and suck out 7ml-8ml of ink with a disposable syringe. Turn the ink outlet hole under the ink box upward; And inclined to 45 degrees to prevent the ink from flowing out of the balance hole in the upper part of the ink cartridge when the ink is almost full. Inject the ink in the disposable syringe into the ink outlet. Pay attention to fast before and slow after. Wipe off the ink near the ink outlet with paper, immediately put it into the printer, and finally clean it once or twice before use.

Filling method of color ink cartridge;

If you want to add colored ink, the operation procedure is similar to that on the internet, but it is more complicated; Because you have to perform three operations with three disposable syringes, and the amount of ink injected may be different. (When the colored ink screen light is on, the three-color ink cartridges are not all used up; The ink injection amount is about 5ml. )

(2) Ink is injected into the ink cartridge of the Canon printer.

There are two common types of Canon ink cartridges with nozzles. There are one kind of ink injection holes (air holes) on the side: black bc-0 1/02/03, color BC-05/06/09; Ink-jet holes (air holes) are another type: black bc-20/23 and color bc-22/22e/29f. Ink injection hole is used to add ink during production. There is a small hole on the sealing plug as an exhaust hole to keep the internal and external pressure balanced. The structure and inking mode of the two ink cartridges are basically the same. Insert the small hole of the vent hole twice with the attached drill, hold it, and gently pull out the plug on the vent hole. The color ink cartridge needs to judge the color with a toothpick, insert the ink injection needle into the hole to inject ink, and then press the plug back. It should be noted that: first, the amount of ink added should not exceed the capacity of the sponge, otherwise it is easy to throw ink when printing; Second, when adding ink, don't overdo it, control it well and avoid overflowing, especially color ink cartridges. Several colors of ink injection holes are close. Once the ink overflows and penetrates into ink cells of other colors, the ink cartridge will be unusable due to mixed color. In addition, there are two styles of bc-03 ink cartridge, one is mentioned above, and the other is with a transparent ink storage cavity on the side, and the ink injection hole on the cavity wall is sealed with steel balls. Its ink filling method is to press the steel ball into the ink storage chamber with the attached ejector pin, and then seal the ink injection hole with the attached new steel ball after ink injection.

Filling the ink cartridge with ink can really prolong the service life of the ink cartridge, but the nozzle is also easy to block, so it will cost a lot of money to change a nozzle! Weigh it yourself! Because doing so will really damage the life of the printer. As the saying goes, major events in the world must be divided for a long time. This statement is true in the development of ink cartridges. From the initial multi-color fusion to the later black color separation, and finally to the present monochrome color separation, everything has witnessed the development process of ink cartridges from single to multiple. However, this long-term and inseparable change seems to be not only due to the replacement of a natural law, but more like the result of the manufacturer's intention.

Replacement process of ink cartridge

The original ink cartridge was designed in multiple colors, that is, multiple colors were integrated into one ink cartridge. The biggest disadvantage of this kind of ink cartridge is its low ink utilization rate. Because there are many colors in an ink cartridge, due to different color consumption, as long as one color of ink is used up, the ink cartridge must be scrapped, even if the other colors in the ink cartridge are not used up.

Just because one color is used up, the whole ink cartridge needs to be scrapped, which not only brings more unnecessary investment to users, but also causes serious ink pollution. Because discarded ink cartridges often contain unused ink of other colors, and a drop of ink can pollute dozens of cubic meters of water. In order to improve the utilization rate of ink cartridges and reduce pollution as much as possible, ink cartridges have gradually transitioned from the initial multi-color integration to the separation structure of black ink and color ink.

The reason why this ink cartridge combination mode is adopted is mainly because printing black-and-white documents needs to consume a large amount of black ink separately, which leads to the rapid consumption of black ink. Once the black ink runs out, the whole ink cartridge will be scrapped, so separating black ink should be regarded as the inevitable development of ink cartridges.

At this stage, it should be said that there has been a positive development in utilization and environmental protection. However, because the color ink cartridge is still composed of multiple colors, the rapid consumption of one color will still lead to the scrapping of the whole color ink cartridge. Therefore, it seems to be an inevitable trend to further subdivide the color ink cartridge into multiple individual ink cartridges.

In fact, this speculation was finally proved to be correct. This can be seen from the new products of two ink-jet printing giants Epson and Hewlett-Packard. In his new ME series, Epson abandoned the matching mode of black and color ink cartridges in the past and replaced it with a variety of matching modes of monochrome ink cartridges and color ink cartridges. For example, the complete set of ink cartridges used by Epson ME200 consists of four ink cartridges: T076 1 (black) /T0762 (cyan) /T0763 (magenta) /T0764 (yellow) * *.

The same thing happened to HP. HP's new products using SPT new printing technology all used a variety of monochrome ink cartridges. With this ink cartridge design, each monochrome ink cartridge can be replaced accurately after use, and the whole ink cartridge will not be scrapped because of changing one color. It should be said that the mode of ink cartridge development to the present should conform to the demand and is the inevitable result of benign development. However, it should be pointed out that this structural change, which has been inseparable for a long time, has maximized the utilization rate of ink cartridges, but in terms of sales price, users have been more troubled by high prices. The high-priced declaration of "unity is strength"

The reason why the price of ink cartridges has further increased after a long separation does not mean that the price of ink cartridges has risen again. On the contrary, the original ink cartridge reduces the sales price to varying degrees. But from the overall price, that is, the price of a set of ink cartridges, the price of a set of ink cartridges now is much higher than that of a set of ink cartridges in the past.

For example, a set of ink cartridges of ME series products, one color ink and one black ink, cost 72+45= 1 17 yuan. But now the price of a new set of ink cartridges for ME series products is black ink 39 yuan +55 yuan (each color ink) ×3=204 yuan, which is higher than the price of a previous set of ink cartridges, and this is the price that will appear after a long time of ink cartridge combination. The same is true of HP. It costs 89 yuan ×6=534 yuan to buy a new set of ink cartridges suitable for SPT printing technology, which is also much higher than the price of a set of ink cartridges in the past era of color ink and black ink.

At present, the domestic consumables market is still dominated by original consumables, because original consumables manufacturers have profound printing technology, and they can directly determine the structure and sales price of ink cartridges, which consumers and general consumables manufacturers cannot change. The most direct embodiment of this advantage is that the manufacturer has direct decision-making power on the ink cartridges used for printing new products, which makes the ink cartridges separated for a long time be replaced and improves the utilization rate of ink in the ink cartridges. However, the overall price of the ink cartridges has to be increased according to the requirements of the original manufacturer, even if the printing quantity is not obviously different after the structural change.

There is an old saying in China that you get what you pay, which means that prices can only increase if the goods are improved in essence. Although the change of the overall matching of ink cartridges has improved the utilization rate of ink, there is no obvious evidence that the printing volume of a set of ink cartridges is more than that of the previous one, but the price change is very obvious. According to common sense, it is reasonable to improve the ink utilization rate without changing the ink capacity. There is no need to raise the price of a set of ink cartridges. Is it necessary for consumers to pay alone to improve the utilization rate of ink?

With the development of science, people can use inkjet printers to make transplantable human organs? At present, scientists have used inkjet cartridges to "print" stem cells with precise patterns. Now scientists are applying this technology to a brand-new field and exploring ways to print the three-dimensional structure of cells.

At present, the research results are published in the published journal Nature. Paul calvert, a material scientist at the University of Massachusetts in the United States, said that three-dimensional technology will help to uncover the communication code between cells, and perhaps in the future, this inkjet printer can make artificial human organs.

The scientific community has a long tradition of using inkjet printers to study stem cells. Last year, American scientists developed an "inkjet printer" to cultivate stem cells, which can help scientists make better use of stem cells.

Printers help stem cell development

It is not easy to obtain stem cells and culture them into needed cells, because human tissues are very complex and consist of different types of cells, and they must be layered in the right mode to function normally. Scientists have come up with a system. They coated a 2.54 cm square glass with a layer of nutritious protein, and then sprayed a small amount of protein on it with an automatic inkjet printer to make the cells survive, develop and differentiate. Then, put the stem cells on this mold to develop, and different cells will be formed.

In order to design a new cell printer, calvert bought an inkjet printer from an electronic equipment store, modified its core components, and installed it on a software-controlled device in the laboratory. Calvert said, "What you see installed in the middle of the machine is something similar to an inkjet cartridge. However, instead of inks of various colors, nozzles spray different types of cell culture media. Although this cell printing device still uses the microneedle printing mode, the cell culture medium has not been destroyed. "

Calvert hopes that this technology can produce micro-organs for medical experiment. He also hopes that in the future, human beings can make transplantable organs according to their needs.
