A dream of red mansions needs to be set up, and renting space in Beijing is very expensive. Therefore, China TV Production Center decided to jointly invest with the local government to build the large-scale Guo Rong Tower and Rong Ning Street. By chance, Zhengding county government studied and analyzed this situation and decided to provide a real venue for the crew. Doing so can not only turn this real scene into a film and television shooting base, but also enrich the tourism content of the ancient city and gradually develop new scenic spots. After repeated investigations, the preparatory group of A Dream of Red Mansions decided to build Guo Rongfu in Zhengding, which is a famous ancient cultural city with profound cultural background, convenient transportation and superior geographical location. Coincidentally, at the end of civil engineering, the famous redology expert Zhou verified that Cao Xueqin, the author of A Dream of Red Mansions, was born in Lingshou Gangtou, Changshan County, Northern Song Dynasty. Changshan is an ancient name of Zhengding, so Guo Rongfu in Zhengding County is the link to bring Cao Xueqin's soul back to his hometown.
After the completion of Guo Rong Mansion, 36 TV series A Dream of Red Mansions were filmed here for nearly two months, with a total of more than 2,000 shots, among which the highlights, Yuan Fei's Mothering and Qin Keqing's Funeral, were all completed here. Rongguofu has since become the favorite film and television base in the film and television circle. Up to now, Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain, Bao Qingtian, The Merchant of the East, The Legend of Zheng Banqiao, Kimberly Tiger, etc. 170 have been completed here one after another, which is known as the "Hollywood" of China. Rongguofu 199 1 was rated as an advanced capital construction project by the National Tourism Administration, and 1995 was approved by the county people's government as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit. Now it is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.
