Chinese, mathematics, foreign languages, physics and chemistry are subject to paper-and-pencil closed-book examinations, and genuine student dictionaries are allowed to be used in Chinese examinations; Morality and the rule of law, history, paper and pen open-book examination, allowed to bring textbooks and other related materials. Biology and geography are subject to paper-and-pencil closed-book examinations. Calculators are not allowed in all subjects.

In 2020, according to the curriculum standards of various subjects, the examination of students' basic knowledge and skills will focus on students' comprehensive application of what they have learned to analyze and solve practical problems, guide the development of quality education, and embody the fundamental requirement of adhering to the goal of moral education in the curriculum standards.

In 2020, the subjects and grades of the junior high school academic level examination shall be implemented in accordance with the Implementation Opinions of the Anhui Provincial Department of Education on Further Promoting the Reform of the Entrance Examination System for Senior High Schools (No.217).

Grade 9: Chinese 150, Mathematics 150, English 120 (including: Listening Test 20), Morality and Rule of Law (80), History (70) 150, Physics (70), Chemistry. Science experiment operation test score 10, physical chemistry score 20.

Eighth grade: 50 points in biology (including experimental operation test 10), 40 points in geography and 30 points in information technology.
