Nanchang power plant was built in 1953, and the first batch of two kilokilowatt units was put into operation in 1957, which is the key project in the first five-year plan of China's national economic development. After several expansions, 12000 kw and 25000 kw medium voltage units were installed successively, totaling 98000 kw, 1988 and 198. Nanchang Power Plant attaches great importance to environmental protection and has been rated as a unit with double civilization for three consecutive years. Last year, it was rated as an advanced greening unit in Jiangxi Province, and it is a garden factory. At present, Nanchang power plant has reached the national second-class enterprise standard, and constantly strives to create the first-class level of the same type of units in the same industry.

Nanchang Power Plant is located in the northeast suburb of Nanchang, at 1.5KM north of Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Ganjiang Bridge. Established in 1955, the construction is divided into two stages: medium pressure surface group and ultra-high pressure unit, with an existing installed capacity of 300MW(2*25MW+2* 125MW). It is the first medium-sized thermal power plant built in the history of Jiangxi electric power industry. It belongs to a large state-owned second-class enterprise and is one of the main power plants in Jiangxi Power Grid.
