Linping is located in the southwest of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, between the main city of Zhejiang Province and Hangzhou, the provincial capital. Linping used to be a county town in the traditional sense. With the development of the city and the rapid economic growth, Linping became an administrative district of Hangzhou on 20 17, that is, Linping District.

Linping used to be "peace near Zhejiang" in history, and it is a place with a long history.
