The history of Houyan
Mu Rongchui (326-396), whose real name was Murong Ba, was the fifth son of Murong Mu, the former civilized emperor of Yan Dynasty. He was physically tired and had meritorious military service. He was named King of Wu by Murong Miao, the former emperor of Zhao Yanjing. After the succession of the former Yan emperor Murong Yong, he was suspected by the Empress Dowager Ke Zuhun and Murong, and was forced to go to the former Qin Dynasty in 370. Fu Jian worshipped him as the top general and honored him as the guest of honor.

In the Battle of Feishui, 3000 Xianbei troops led by Mu Rongchui were unscathed. In 383, Mu Rongchui got permission from Fu Jian to visit the ancestral graves in Yecheng. In fact, he contacted Kibaki to prepare for the national rejuvenation. At that time, Zhai Bin of Dingling nationality was fighting against Qin in Henan. Fu Pi, who was guarding Yecheng, immediately sent them, but only gave them 2,000 soldiers and horses, and sent his uncles and brothers Fu to lead 1,000 barbarian cavalry as a supplement to spy. That night, Mu Rongchui let Murong Bao lead the way, Di Bing walked in the middle, and Murong Long, the son of Mu Rongchui, led the troops behind. After the arrangement, Mu Rongchui asked the soldiers around him to beat the drums. Murong Bao and Murong Long immediately commanded the officers and men to attack from both sides, and soon annihilated the foreign soldiers and killed Fu. After killing Fu, Zhai led troops and joined forces. Zhai persuaded him to be emperor, saying, "Murong Yong is Yan orthodox and my monarch." He also said to his subordinates: "Luoyang is surrounded by enemies, which is not our foothold. It is better to seize Yucheng and control the world. " So he marched into Yecheng and arrived in Xingyang (now Xingyang, Henan). Mu Rongchui claimed to be a general, a viceroy and a prince, and built a line, which was called Hou Yan in history. In February of 65438+385, Mu Rongchui made its capital in Zhongshan (now Wangjing Town, Tangxian County, Hebei Province, formerly Dingzhou, Hebei Province). In February of 386, Mu Rongchui proclaimed himself emperor in Zhongshan, and changed to Yuan Jianxing. My brother Murong Miao removed the word "Chui" and renamed it "Chui" and changed it to "Ming Dow". Eight months later, in10,386, after Saixixi Taiwei and Shang Shuling Murong Yong killed their master Murong Zhong, they occupied their eldest son (now the eldest son of Shaanxi) and proclaimed themselves emperor, and established the Yuan Dynasty and Zhongxing. Mu Rongchui and Murong Yong are cousins born from the same root, but in Mu Rongchui's view, there can't be two suns, and Xiyan must be destroyed. At that time, people thought that Hou Yan had been fighting for years and the officers and men were tired, so it was not appropriate to send troops. Only Mu Rongchui's younger brother Murong De supported sending troops to Xiyan. He said: "Murong Yong is a branch of Yan State. How can you tolerate him calling himself the emperor and confusing people! Starting from the long-term interests of Houyan, we should first eliminate Xiyan and unify the people's hearts. " After listening to Murong De, Mu Rongchui smiled and said to everyone, "I have made up my mind and will never waver. Although I am almost seventy years old, I am smart enough to catch my eldest son and Murong Yong. " In February 394, Mu Rongchui sent troops to attack Xiyan. Murong Yong heard the news, quickly concentrated the rations on the platform wall, and then divided his troops to fight against Hou Yan's army. In August of the same year, Mu Rongchui conquered his eldest son and killed more than 30 people, including Murong Yong and his nobles. Later, in Liyang (now Xunxian County, Henan Province), the regime of Wang Jianli in Henan Province was destroyed. At this point, Mu Rongchui basically restored the territory of the former Yan State, and its ruling area is now Hebei, Shandong, Liaoning, Shaanxi and Henan, becoming the most powerful country in the Central Plains in the late Sixteen Countries. After the downfall of Xiyan, Mu Rongchui got carried away and went to the Northern Wei Dynasty in May 395. At that time, Chang Qidui said fiercely: "We are in-laws with the Northern Wei Dynasty (Murong Mu, the former owner of Yan State, married my sister and daughter to Tuoba Shiyi, the former monarch), and the Northern Wei Dynasty was also good to us. Why fight them? Besides, Tuoba GUI is not an idle person, so you must not take it lightly! " By this time, Mu Rongchui had been carried away by the victory, so he refused to listen to other people's opinions. In order to block other people's suggestions, Mu Rongchui is just an official in Gao E. Later, Prince Murong Bao, Murong Nong and Murong Lin were sent to lead 80,000 troops, and Murong De and Murong Shao were ordered to lead cavalry10.8 million to March into Pingcheng (now Datong, Shanxi) in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Hou Yan and the Northern Wei Dynasty were at loggerheads on both sides of the Yellow River for more than 10 days. Murong Bao had to burn the warship and leave the battlefield in the middle of the night because of the attempted rebellion of General Mu and others. The Northern Wei Dynasty seized the opportunity to catch up and defeated the Yanjun army in Shenbei (Yanggaojing, Shanxi). 40,000 to 50,000 people surrendered to the Northern Wei Dynasty, and thousands of civil and military officials, including Chen Liuwang Murong Shao and Wang Guilin Murong Daocheng, were killed. Tuoba GUI, the ruler of the Northern Wei Dynasty, wanted to release the captured Houyan officers and soldiers, but Wang Jian, an adult of the Central Committee, said, "Zhong Yan people are strong, and today this country. Fortunately, I won. It is better to know how to kill it, so its country is empty and it is appropriate to take it; If you get it, it is really impossible. " Therefore, after Tuoba GUI surrendered, 40,000 to 50,000 officers and men of Yan were all killed, which was the largest number of people killed during the Sixteen Kingdoms period. After Murong Bao returned to Houyan, he was ashamed of his defeat in the war and once again asked to send troops to the Northern Wei Dynasty. Mu Rongchui was also frustrated by this battle and promised to attack the Northern Wei Dynasty in the coming year. In March 396, Mu Rongchui led Hou Yanzhi's army to secretly leave Zhongshan, cross Qingling and Tianmen, cut a path, unexpectedly crossed the clouds, captured Pingcheng and captured more than 30,000 people in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Mu Rongchui was in poor health when he left Zhongshan. After he captured Pingcheng, he immediately left Pingcheng with the winner. When passing by Shenbei, Mu Rongchui was very sad to see the bones of tens of thousands of officers and men killed by the Northern Wei Dynasty piling up. When the soldiers saw the bones, they couldn't help thinking of their fathers, relatives and comrades. They were in tears, and suddenly they were in tears. When Mu Rongchui heard crying, sadness, anger, regret and resentment, he vomited blood, which aggravated his illness. By the time he got to Shanggu (Yixian County, Hebei Province), he was already dying. He dictated the last few words with great difficulty: "Now the country is in difficulty, so the funeral should be simple. In order to prevent strong enemies from waiting for an opportunity to make trouble, they will be sent out in mourning after arriving in the capital. " Then he died. In June 396, Prince Murong Bao succeeded to the throne. In August, Tuoba GUI, the leader of the Northern Wei Dynasty, saw the new death of Mu Rongchui and the chaos in Houyan, so he led 400,000 troops to attack Houyan. In September, Wei Jun conquered Houyan's Bingzhou (Taiyuan, Shanxi). On June+10, 5438, Wei Jun left Jingxing Pass (Jingxing Pass, Hebei Province) in the west and pushed Zhongshan. The northern Wei army was in full swing all the way. Hou Yan's defenders either abandoned the city or fled with the wind, leaving only Yecheng, Xindu (Jixian County, Hebei Province) and Zhongshan behind. In June 65438 +065438+10, Tuoba GUI personally supervised the army to besiege Zhongshan for several days, so he changed his strategy, abandoned Zhongshan and attacked Yecheng and Xindu first. In February 397, Shang, Mu, his wife, younger brother, Sun Ni and other cronies conspired to kill Murong Bao and became Emperor Murong Lin. Later, due to Su Ni's informer, the plot was exposed, Mu and dozens of associates were killed, and Murong Lin fled to Dingling. However, most of the officers and men guarding the city were Murong Lin's men. Murong Bao was afraid of being hurt, so he led 10 thousand cavalry out of the north of the city and returned to Longcheng.

After Murong Bao fled, the officials and people in Zhongshan City were even more afraid, so they made Taigu Taishou and Kaifeng Gong Mu Rongxiang emperors. In May, Mu Rongxiang proclaimed himself emperor, and started construction in Yuan Dynasty. Subsequently, he killed Tuoba GUI, the special envoy of the Northern Wei Dynasty and his younger brother, and hundreds of princes and ministers of Murong Bao. Murong Bao's concubines are all owned by Mu Rongxiang. He has sex with all the women all day and does all kinds of bad things. There was a great famine in the mountain city, and countless people starved to death. In July, Murong Lin, the prince of Zhao who fled to Dingling Department, attacked Zhongshan, beheaded Mu Rongxiang and more than 300 of his followers, established himself as emperor, and changed his title to Yanping. At this time, the mountain city was basically out of food, and Murong Lin allowed the people in the city to leave the city to collect food to satisfy their hunger. In a few days, the state treasury ran out of food, so Murong Lin had to lead twenty thousand troops to escape from Zhongshan and eat in the new town. Wei Jun fought without bloodshed and occupied Zhongshan. Wei Jun dug Mu Rongxiang's tomb, opened the coffin and slaughtered the corpse; He also captured Tuoba Zhang's murderer alive and smashed ten thousand pieces with one knife. At the same time, he sent troops to pursue Murong Lin, send water to him and fight Yitai. MuRongLin failed, took his wife and belt, went to the western hills, fled to Yecheng, and went to see the emperor, also called Wang Zhao. He took refuge in his uncle Fan Murongde, who later executed him for treason.

Murong Bao met his second son Murong Hui in Ji Cheng (Guang 'anmen West) on his way back to Longcheng in the north. Murong Hui is the illegitimate child of Murong Bao. He was versatile since childhood and was loved by his grandfather Mu Rongchui. He was named Qinghe Gong. When Mu Rongchui went out to conquer the Northern Wei Dynasty and marched into the city of peace, he was asked to "take charge of palace affairs, always record government affairs, and treat them with the prince", which became the established grandson of the emperor in the eyes of all the ministers. Before he died, Mu Rongchui asked Murong Bao to make him a prince, but because Murong Bao liked his youngest son, Puyang Gong Murong Ce, he didn't do it, so Murong would be extremely dissatisfied. This time, Murong came to save Zhongshan, and the progress was very slow. He stayed near Lulong for more than three months and didn't go to Zhongshan. After Murong Bao repeatedly reprimanded him, he slowly entered Ji Cheng, which caused many ministers' dissatisfaction. So, as soon as we met MuRongHui, MuRongBao gave MuRongHui troops to his two younger brothers MuRongNong and MuRongLong. Took the relieving of Mr. Murong, and Mr. Murong's face was naturally ugly. After MuRongBao saw it, he had a premonition that leaving Murong family would be a disaster after all, so he told MuRongNong and MuRongLong his ideas frankly, hoping to get their understanding. Unexpectedly, both of them said, "Mr. Murong is still young and only knows how to spoil you." It won't mean anything else. Let's educate him. " As soon as the news came out that Mr. Murong would be deprived of his military power, the officers and men in the Murong family's military camp came to Mr. Murong Bao's residence as if soaked in oil, and said in unison, "Mr. Murong will be brilliant and slightly better, and we are willing to live and die with him." I hope your majesty and the crown prince will stay in the thistle palace for the time being, and let Mr. Murong take us to lift the siege of Zhongshan in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and then come back to take you home. "MuRongBao ministers see MuRongHui so popular, more jealous of him, advised MuRongBao kill MuRongHui as soon as possible. But before he could start work, Mr. Murong sent more than twenty strong men, including Qiu Nigui, to sneak into MuRongLong's account and kill MuRongLong. Then command the officers and men to attack Murong Bao. Murong Bao sent Murong Teng to meet Murong Hui, rode more than 100, galloped 200 miles and fled back to Longcheng. Murong Zhan was defeated by Murong Teng, and dozens of people fled to Zhongshan City and were killed by Mu Rongxiang. In June 5438 +398 10, Murong Bao met and defeated Wei Jun for the second time in Longcheng, and the messenger who asked him to return to the DPRK was Murong De, commander of Yecheng. On February 26th, Murong Bao didn't listen to my advice and decided that Prince Murong Ce would guard Longcheng and lead his officials south. Take Murong Teng as the former army, take Murong Nong as the example, and lead the rear army. On the way, Murong Long's former generals Duan Sugu, Song Chimei and others refused to go south again. They launched a mutiny in Company B (like near Jianchang, Liaoning Province), and killed Murong Zhou, Zhong Mogong and the imperial clan king of Le Lang, giving priority to killing Murong Long's son, Mu Rongchong, the king of Levin. The southern army was scattered, and MuRongBao also fled to MuRongNong's camp in Zhong Jun. Murong Nong was killed by the rebels after surrendering to them. MuRongBao, MuRongSheng, MuRongTeng and several Qingqi continue to go south. Soon, Lan Han, an important official in Liuzhou, put down the rebellion, killed Duan Sugu, Mei and others, abolished Mu Rongchong, and made Prince Murong Ce the mainstay. When Murong Bao and others arrived in the suburb of Yecheng, they learned that Yecheng had been lost. Murong De made Yuan Emperor in the sliding platform (now hua county, Henan) and established Southern Yan. Murong Bao had nowhere to live and had to return to Liuzhou. When approaching Liuzhou, the ministers traveling with Murong Bao felt that the atmosphere was wrong and advised Murong Bao to be careful. Murong Bao has suffered a lot in recent months, and he just wants to return to Longcheng as soon as possible. And he thinks that Lan Han is his great-uncle, and his son Murong Sheng is his father-in-law, so there will be no problem. Unexpectedly, Murong Baogang was killed by Lan Nan (also known as Jia Nan), the younger brother of Lan Han, when he arrived in Somo Khan, a place 40 miles away from Longcheng. Later, Lan Han killed more than 100 people, including Prince Murong Ce and his ministers.

In April 398, Lan Han proclaimed himself emperor, claiming to be the viceroy, general, Dadanyu and Changli King, and changed to Yuan Qinglong. Because LanHan's daughter married Murong Sheng, LanHan didn't kill him at the pleading of his wife and daughter, and appointed him as the doctor of Shi Zhong and Zuo Jia Guanglu. In July, Murongsheng used a deviant, let the blue cold brothers attack each other. Lan Han was killed by Murong Sheng's cronies Li Han and Wei Shuang. Murong Sheng changed his name to Changle Wang and Jianping. 10, Murong Sheng proclaimed himself emperor and changed his country name to Changle. Your mother Duan is the Empress Dowager, and your aunt (MuRongLing's wife, Mu Rongchui's eldest son) is the queen of Xianzhuang. Murong Sheng's wife Lang should have been made queen, but because of her father Lan Han, she was not made queen. She was still a princess, but Murong Sheng never made a queen again. In 400 AD, Murong Sheng's biological mother Duan died. Murong Sheng honored his aunt Shi Ding as the Empress Dowager and appointed Murong as the Prince. In August of 40 1 year, Murong was killed by former general Duan Ji (nephew of Murong's mother) in the mutiny, and he was in office for three years. After Mr. Murong's death, Prince Murong Ding should have succeeded to the throne, but at that time, Mr. Murong Ding was still a child and was not suitable for him to be emperor in difficult autumn. According to the reputation and the wishes of ministers, Murong Yuan, the fourth son of Murong Bao and the duke of Pingyuan, is the most suitable candidate. However, Empress Shi Ding disagreed. It turned out that Queen Mother Ding was young and widowed and had an affair with her youngest son, Mr. Murong. Therefore, she is bent on making Murong Xi emperor. Therefore, the Queen Mother Ding chose Mr. Murong as the heir on the grounds that the prince was young and it was appropriate to establish a long monarch. After Murong Xi succeeded to the throne, he was called Dayan Tianwang and changed to Yuanguang. Immediately ordered to kill Murong Sheng, Los Angeles and others by means of killing people without blinking an eye, and destroyed three families. The next day, Murong Yuan was sentenced to death for "suspicion". At the beginning of his reign, Mr. Murong was very grateful to Queen Mother Ding, and he often shared a bed with her, which made him happy. But only one year later, Murong Xi took a fancy to Yin Maomo's two daughters. Mao Mo's eldest daughter is Rong E and her youngest daughter is Xun Ying, both of whom are peerless beauties. Rong E was made an aristocrat, and Xun Ying was made an aristocrat. With these two beauties, Mr. Murong naturally snubbed Queen Mother Ding. Empress Ding was full of complaints, so she discussed with my nephew to abolish Mr. Murong and make Mr. Murong Yuan emperor. When Mr. Murong heard the wind, he did not hesitate to sentence Queen Mother Ding to death.

Murong Xi is a bad king, who only loves beauty and ignores the country. In February, 65438+403, Xun Ying was made queen and Rong E was made Zhao Yi. Murong Xi was afraid that Rong E said he was unfair, so he dug a Quguanghai and a cool pool for her in midsummer. Although Qu Guanghai and Qingliangchi were elegant, open and freehand, and took a lot of effort, it did not alleviate Rong E's jealousy and resentment towards Murong Xi after he became an emperor. So, after the completion ceremony, Rong E fell ill. When Murong Xi saw that Carrie was ill, he sent people everywhere to find medicine for her. At this time, a man named Wang Rong boasted that he could cure the disease, and was invited to the palace by Murong Xi. Unexpectedly, Rong E took a few pills and died. In a rage, Murong Xisheng pulled Wang Rong out and dismembered him. After Rong E's death, Murong Xi devoted all his love to Xun Ying and obeyed her. As you said, Xun Ying likes to travel and often wears makeup to play outside the palace.

165438+404 10, accompanied by thousands of soldiers, Empress Fu and Murong started from Bailu Mountain in the north (now east of Harqin Left-wing Mongolian Autonomous County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province), to Qingling Mountain in the east (now northeast of Yixian County, Liaoning Province) and to the sea in the south. More than 5000 people were eaten by tigers and wolves or froze to death, that's all. Queen fu still feels that it is not exciting enough. In 65438+405 10, she instigated Murong Xi to attack Koguryo, hoping to get excitement under the sword. When a beautiful woman gave the order, Murong Xi immediately sent an army. When Hou Yan's army was about to capture the big city of Liaodong, the queen Fu asked Murong to say to the officers and men, "Officers and men, after capturing the big city, don't go in yet. I'll go in with the queen." Due to Koguryo's tight defense, the officers and men of Houyan could not break through the big cities, so they had to withdraw their troops despondently. Empress Fu was disappointed that she did not occupy the great city of Liaodong. At the end of the year, she encouraged Murong Xi to attack the Khitan.

65438+406 10, when Empress Fu and Mr. Murong arrived in Jingbei (now Liangxiang, Beijing), Mr. Murong suddenly became afraid of the Khitan soldier Ma Zhuang and prepared to withdraw. When Empress Fu saw this, she said, "Aren't you ashamed of a noble monarch who said such things to ruin his prestige?" Even if you are scared to death of the Khitan, you don't have to go back the same way! Why not visit other places in Koguryo this time? "Mr. Murong was shocked by Queen Fu and immediately ordered to throw away all the trench and attack Goguryeo. Because of the long distance and cold weather, nothing has been realized. After returning to Liuzhou, Fu focused all his unhappiness on eating and drinking. She is not satisfied with good food, but is interested in things that people can't do. In the hot summer, she clamored for frozen fish; In the dead of winter, she clamored to eat rehmannia which could only be picked in February and August. But Mr. Murong Xi also made people do it. The people in charge of purchasing ran around and returned empty-handed. Most of them were killed by Mr. Murong Xi.

In March, 407, Mr. Murong built Chenghua Hall for the Queen Fu in the palace. In order to build it higher, Murong Xi ordered migrant workers to carry earth from the north gate. Because of the long distance, the price of soil is the same as that of the valley. Du Shi Jing can't stand it. He carried the coffin to remonstrate with Murong Xi. Before Murong Xi heard it, he ordered Du Jing to be killed. In April, after bearing all the glory in the world, Queen Fu died with her sister. With the death of Xunying, Murong Xi lost his relatives. He put his arm around Xun Ying's waist with one hand and touched Xun Ying's face with the other, sobbing and saying, "Queen, your body is cold and your breath is broken." Crying and crying, suddenly fainted on the ground, and it took a long time to wake up. At this time, the Queen Fu has been wrapped in silk, and Mr. Murong personally came forward to uncover the queen's silks and satins, stripped the queen's clothes and pounced on the queen. ...

When Murong Xi cried her eyes out, I don't know which minister reminded him to build a mausoleum for the queen. Murong Xi woke up from a rude awakening, and hurriedly informed officials from top to bottom to ordinary people to build a mausoleum. Murong Xi said weakly to the supervisor, "Build it well, and I will accompany the queen to sweep the grave." This tomb, called Hui Ping Ling, is several miles long and costs millions. During the period of repairing the tomb, Murong Xi made officials cry in the temple for people to see. Those who cry and cry are regarded as loyal ministers, and those who cry and have no tears are punished. Three months later, the mausoleum was completed and Xun Ying's funeral began. Mr. Murong has a sister-in-law named Zhang, who is very beautiful. Murong Xi actually killed her and buried her as a queen. At the funeral, because the hearse was very high, the north gate of the palace could not get out, so Murong Xi ordered the north gate to be moved to let the car pass. Seeing this, the elder said with great regret, "The Murong family destroyed their home, which is a harbinger of the demise of Houyan." Murong Xi does have feelings for the queen. Barefoot, stepping on the gravel, he followed the long-haired hearse and walked to the cemetery step by step with tears in his eyes.

Murong Xi cried her eyes out, and the ministers repeatedly advised him not to be sad. It turns out that there is a gap with Murong Xi. After Murong Xi proclaimed himself emperor, he was wanted. Feng Ba, a general of Zhongwei who fled to the mountains, and his younger brother Shiro sneaked back to Liuzhou and plotted to kill Murong. After Murong went out of the city to attend the queen's funeral, Feng Ba persuaded Murong Yun, Murong Bao's adopted son, to mobilize 5,000 soldiers to close all the gates. Zhao, who stayed in Liuzhou, got on the horse and reported to Mr. Murong. After listening to this, Mr. Murong casually said, "Feng Ba is a thief and mouse, so there is no need to make a fuss. Let me go back and take off his head. " With that, she let her hair hang freely, put on her armor and galloped away to Liuzhou. When I arrived at the gate of Longcheng at night, I saw that the gate was closed, so I concentrated on attacking the north gate. I didn't catch it, so I had to stay outside. Early the next morning, with the support of Feng Ba, Murong Yun became a king, resumed his high surname and changed his original position. Murong Xi had to retreat into Longteng Garden again. A few days later, Murong Xi was caught and handed over to Gao Yun, who killed him, and Hou Yan perished.
