The Warsaw Pact is a political and military alliance against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). 1955 After West Germany joined NATO, the countries of the Eastern European Group, including East Germany, signed the Warsaw Convention and formed a socialist alliance against NATO. It has played an important role in safeguarding the security of socialism, avoiding imperialist aggression, safeguarding world peace and promoting the national liberation movement.
The member countries of the organization are Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of Germany (1formally withdrew from the Warsaw Pact on September 24, 1990), Hungary, Poland, Romania, the Soviet Union and Albania (1968 13 announced its withdrawal from the Warsaw Pact).
199 1 At the special meeting of the Warsaw Pact Political Consultative Committee held in Budapest on February 25th, 2000, the foreign ministers and defense ministers of about six member countries of China (Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and the Soviet Union) signed a protocol on behalf of their respective countries, declaring that since 199 1 April/. 199 1 July 1 day, at the meeting of the Political Consultative Committee of the States Parties to the Warsaw Treaty held in Prague, the leaders of the participating countries signed the Protocol on the Suspension of the Entry into Force of the Warsaw Treaty and the communiqué of the meeting, and the Warsaw Treaty officially disintegrated.
