Glorious Suffering is the first work to interpret the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s early history in the international context, the first work to comment on history with strategic thinking and awareness, and the first historical work that can be appreciated as a great prose. This book must be read carefully and savored slowly, and it can't be done overnight, because there is too much information between the lines, the relationship between characters is complicated and historical events are intertwined.
The objectivity of this book makes me feel respected. Some history books I have read before often give some historical events and figures a one-sided or single subjective color. Although it is easy to understand, it does not necessarily conform to the historical truth. Jin Yinan believes that no one knows the truth of history, and there is no way to describe it with three colors, six colors, twelve colors or even twenty-four colors. We can only try our best to restore the truth of history. Although it may be cruel, puzzling or embarrassing, history is a complex polyhedron. The book Glorious Suffering vividly depicts the historical picture before and after the 25,000-mile Long March of the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants, and depicts many great figures whom we admire or are familiar with, such as Chen Yi, Peng, Li, Zhang and Chiang Kai-shek. There are many heroes who are still unknown. Concealed, I can't help but sigh: great men are actually human beings. Without God's wisdom and power, they would not have been born right. They will also make mistakes, lose battles, lose their temper, renege on their words, and form factions, but they are beautified, purified or deleted by too many film and television literary works, giving people a sense of distance, ambiguity and dullness. I even sigh: these great men are really not mortal. Countless waves of history have left people with real iron will and physique. Some people have experienced the route of the Red Army's Long March, but they can only appreciate the sinister geographical environment, but in any case they can't appreciate the sinister human environment. Dozens of planes bombed overhead, hundreds of thousands of enemies besieged and blocked, and they needed to make a choice at any time. This choice may lead to the annihilation of the whole army at any time, and their physiology and psychology are always at the limit. In this case, people who died in battle, stayed behind, fled and defected accounted for the vast majority, and only a few thousand people persisted in the end, and it was these thousands who changed the fate of the Chinese nation. This book makes me respect the great men in history more and cherish the peaceful life more.
The truth that foreign things serve China also inspired me. Whether Bethune or Li De, these foreigners came to China to help the China Revolution sincerely. Without knowing the situation at all, it is inevitable to issue some orders and instructions that are not suitable for our revolutionary situation from their original conditions, environment, knowledge and training. The key is our attitude. Should we learn from their experience, give full play to their strengths, and guide them to understand China's national conditions, or should we regard their experience as a god and take their words as instructions, "one sentence is worth ten thousand sentences"? Failure to grasp this point, to guide them to learn and understand the concrete practice of the China Revolution, and to prove to them with facts that some of their things are divorced from the reality of China will only limit their role. Isn't this the case with our certification and accreditation work? Certification and accreditation, like Marxism-Leninism, is an "imported product" and a foreign gadget, so foreign things need to serve China. No matter patterns, procedures, standards or even terms, they can't be copied. We should combine China's economic and social development level, Chinese people's psychology, education and acceptance, and use it flexibly and adjust and enrich it appropriately on the premise of deeply understanding the essence of certification and accreditation. If we can do this when introducing ISO9000, I'm afraid it won't cause the current "excessive" situation. Therefore, when we design a new system, such as the carbon evaluation system that is urgently needed to be studied and established, we must integrate it into China's national conditions. Whether it is management measures or technical indicators, the lazy practice of direct borrowing is unacceptable. If we succeed, it will also promote and develop international certification and accreditation activities.
Jin Yinan's spirit in writing this book moved me even more. According to the information on the Internet, Professor Jin used to be a worker and was known as a "born good worker". He used to be a soldier and was known as a "born good soldier". Now he is a university professor and is lamented as a "born teacher". Professor Jin himself said that there is no natural thing, just do what you want, do your best, love life and do your job well; Innovation lies in persistence, just spending the time of playing cards and watching TV on research; The difference between people is mainly outside eight hours. Through his words, I understand that this masterpiece of hundreds of thousands of words comes from his reading notes of more than two million words accumulated over the years and his independent and meticulous thinking all the year round. Therefore, I believe that to be a conscientious person, we should make achievements and not give up halfway; Do things according to your own style, not mechanically. People should be enthusiastic, have ideas, don't follow the trend, don't change their minds, don't talk too much, don't do too little, don't be critics and dreamers, but be doers.
There are many sufferings in the world, but not all sufferings can create brilliance. Only the suffering of the phoenix nirvana can finally create brilliance. May our troubled Chinese nation make greater achievements on the road of enriching the country and strengthening the people.
