Tonghua Company, formerly known as a family labor service company, has been established for more than 60 years.
First, the establishment of family service team.
After liberation, workers were given labor protection articles in accordance with the labor protection regulations. Our factory is a mechanical processing enterprise, and workers' work clothes are oily and difficult to wash. It is inconvenient to take it home for washing, so the factory organized some family members to set up a laundry group to concentrate on washing work clothes for workers free of charge. It is collected at the workshop production site in a certain order every week, cleaned and sent back to each workshop. At that time, thrift was emphasized, and the overalls were worn, which could be mended by the laundry team for free.
At one time, the domestic coal supplied by workers' homes was not enough to burn. The factory will organize the children of workers who are unemployed at home to come to the factory, screen out the industrial slag that is not completely burned in the boiler room, and send it to the homes of workers in need with a rack truck. 50 cents per car, which is both labor and freight. The name of their organization is generally called: family service team. Don't underestimate these scum members. At that time, they all graduated from high school and had a wide network of contacts. After tempering and exercising, a famous factory director has emerged among them.
Second, the family labor service company in the prosperous period
In the late 1950s, with the implementation of the national five-year plan, the national economy developed rapidly, and the discovery of annual oil fields brought about the rapid development of the petroleum industry. The production scale of Baoji Petroleum Machinery Factory has also been gradually expanded, with more than 200,000 square meters of east factory area newly expanded and many new workshops built in the east of Jinling River in the urban area. Due to the busy tasks of each production workshop and the shortage of auxiliary workers, production was once affected. In the newly-built steel casting workshop, materials such as quicklime and coke for steelmaking, water glass for cast steel and cast iron models are also in short supply, which often affects the production progress.
What should we do?
At that time, many workers' family members in the factory had no jobs. It is suggested that family members should be organized to do some work within their power. At that time, the institutional problems of large collective and small collective were not considered. At that time, many things were done first.
This proposal first received a warm response from the majority of family members. Everyone shouted out enthusiastic slogans such as "We also have two hands, we don't eat idle food at home, we have to serve oil, and I will do it without pay", and a family labor service company was quickly established, with Xue Cuilan (deceased) as the team leader and Yang Youlian (deceased) as the vice captain, in charge of more than 400 people.
Everything is self-reliance, starting from scratch. They built their own "dry masonry" houses and their own stoves. Under the command of Master Yan Yinghuan, the workers at home simply burned limestone into quicklime suitable for steelmaking. Smelting inferior bituminous coal into coke urgently needed by cupola: using simple chemical raw materials, water glass for cast steel and cast iron models was boiled out, which solved the urgent need in factory production.
In other ways, domestic workers are also a productive force. For example, it is also worth mentioning that they transported the supply department to the production site. Because, for a long time, raw materials, standard parts, accessories and so on. The factory purchases from all over the country are transported from the warehouse to the production workshop by these domestic workers on human shelves.
Just as people were in full swing, there was a sudden news that the labor service company could not pay wages. The limitations of the planned economy are exposed here.
Why? Because the factory paid wages at that time, the total wages of the labor department had to be approved by the bank supervisor in advance before the money could be found. The labor service company has no establishment in the labor department, no business license in the industrial and commercial department, and no account in the bank, so it cannot be paid through bank fees.
What shall we do? God never shuts one door but he opens another. People will always come up with a solution. At that time, there was a transportation agency in Weibin District of Baoji City, which was engaged in transportation by pulling carts. That small unit sends stations to our factory all the year round to do LTL, and business contacts are frequent. Through their nominal management, the labor service company is affiliated to Weibin Transportation Agency Company. Through someone else's account, we can handle our own income and expenditure account of the labor service company. At that time, the labor service company only got 1.2- 1.6 yuan per person per day, and the salary was very low. Therefore, the other party proposed to deduct the management fee of 5%. Although it is the practice of pulling geese, the factory still bears all the expenses for the labor service company.
A few years later, I finally saw the light. A spring thunder in Beijing, an "industrial celebration", has added vitality to oil workers and brought good news to our factory workers. From then on, they took off the hat of "black households", hung up big signs, had official seals, registered permanent residence and had their own management methods.
Third, all kinds of comprehensive factories
With the passage of time, the work of family members has also changed, and a considerable number of employees' children have no employment opportunities and need to be taken care of. Since 1970s, labor service companies have successively set up paper mills, labor protection shoes factories, rubber seal factories, printing plants, riveting and welding factories, steel sheet briquetting groups, milk supply points, chicken farms and so on. , but also engaged in a considerable scale of mechanical processing. The name of the labor service company is out of date, and it was changed to a comprehensive factory when it was registered.
Among them, the first lime kiln was established earlier, and the labor intensity was greater, which directly supported the steelmaking in the gem factory. I visited the kiln in my youth, and I was really touched and unforgettable when I saw their working conditions. When they were burning the kiln, people were not idle. Everyone swung a sledgehammer and smashed the large limestone into small pieces suitable for entering the kiln. They were all so tired that they broke out in a sweat. Once again, I want to try, and the result is really not as good as theirs. In this way, they smashed the lime, burned it, and took it to the steel casting workshop, which ensured the need to consume 50 tons of lime a month in steelmaking and also supported some of it as building materials for the infrastructure department of the factory.
Comrade Jin Shuying, the mother of Comrade Shi Wanxing, the boss of the mining service department of our factory, was the main force of the lime kiln that year. She is my neighbor and asked her how many years she worked in a lime kiln. She said: 1958 When the kiln was built, the first batch participated, and in 27 years, I went directly to the lime kiln to dismantle it. I should retire. At that time, everyone's hands were covered with a thick cocoon, and their skin was as rough as a file.
Speaking of the labor intensity of labor service companies, there were a few jingles circulating at that time, saying that "formal workers are not as good as temporary workers, and temporary workers are not as good as domestic workers." Although exaggerated, it is also a portrayal of the efforts and dedication of family workers in those years.
Due to the progress of the times and the expansion of the factory scale, the original site of the comprehensive factory has disappeared. Although the paper mill has good quality and timely supply of lime kiln, it is located in the city center and does not meet the requirements of environmental protection, and has closed down and stopped production. Several generations of family workers have also stepped into old age and retired. Now the number of retirees has reached 340, fulfilling their historical mission. After the reform and opening up, the comprehensive plant was renamed Tonghua Company again, and the families of their employees' children were replaced, and they took over the baton and became employees of Tonghua Company, continuing to serve the oil.
At that time, the sweat of the family labor service company did not flow in vain. In the long history of gem development, there was once a brilliant page. Today, they are also recognized by the state as "medical insurance and labor insurance" and enjoy the same living treatment as retired workers. It is said that the family workers who worked in the labor service company earlier were transferred with their husbands, so there is no such treatment.
