Covering an area of 26,000 square meters, Daan Cave Hall is one of the six largest cave halls in the world and the largest cave hall detected in China at present.
In addition, there is the son cave, which stands at the top of the big well. The hole is wide, the hall is spacious and bright, and the lawn is shaded, which is equivalent to a standard football field. Beside the cave hall, there are stalactite lions with a height of 65,438+00 meters, and more than 65,438+00 arhats are sitting beside the green pool. In the Qing Dynasty, folk riders from decks and other places in Guangxi often gathered in this cave to race horses, so it was called "Happy Horse Cave". There is a famous local jingle: "Tiande Cave is good for raising sheep, Yan Jia Cave is good for housing, Lion Cave is a stadium, and 99 caves are nitrate."
In 1930s, the Kuomintang government set up the Nitrosulfonate Office here. In order to make a living, farmers explore caves in search of nitrate mud. Once, a farmer named Luo went into the cave with torches and dry food, and didn't come back for five days and five nights because he got lost. His family thought he was dead and organized a funeral for him. Unexpectedly, he walked out of the cave from the distant mountain forest, saw the light of day again and returned home.
The ready-made big well has become an underground world for Chinese and foreign scientists to save lives, and it is also a resort and paradise for people to visit. People regard the Dajing Scenic Area in Luodian as a "cave country in a mountain country" and a "cave corridor".
Luodian cultural relics include Bianyang Cliff Tomb, Chengxi Qingling Bridge, Dongjia Niujiao Temple Tower, Bianyang Wenchang Pavilion, Yang Modong Dangzhou Anshan Inscription, Chengxi Forest Farm Aiwu Road Inscription, Chengnan Wangnaitun, Chengnan Wangnaishan Foot Revolutionary Martyrs Monument and so on.
