Yongding Tulou is a representative building of Hakka culture, which was formed before the Tang Dynasty.

Yongding Tulou, namely Yongding Hakka Tulou, is located in Yongding County, Longyan City, southwest Fujian Province. According to historical records, Yongding Hakka earth building was produced before the Tang Dynasty, and it has been quite common since the Yuan Dynasty, and it began to mature in the Ming Dynasty. With the emigration of population, earth buildings, as a cultural tradition, spread to surrounding counties and districts such as Nanjing, Pinghe, Silla and Shanghang, including non-Hakka areas.
