Peony is usually planted between August and September in autumn. At this time, the temperature is more suitable, which can germinate faster and is beneficial to the later growth. If planted after the end of September, it will affect rooting, reduce the survival rate, and may not be able to resist cold, resulting in plant death.
Second, the planting method
1. Soil preparation and seed selection: select sandy soil for planting, prepare soil before planting, dig deep into the soil to a depth of about 30 cm, and add appropriate farmyard manure as base fertilizer. In addition, the seeds should be full of particles, and impurities and shriveled ones should be picked out.
2. Soak the seeds: after selecting the seeds, soak them in warm water for two days and take them out after the seed coat becomes soft. After that, it is best to soak in alcohol for 20 minutes, and then plant after cleaning.
3. Sow in the soil: When everything is ready, you can sow. As long as the seeds are evenly spread on the soil and then covered with a layer of soil and plastic film, they can take root in about a month.
