Shekou Reform and Opening Museum, the first museum in China with the theme of reform and opening up, officially opened. Through small objects, small scenes and small events related to reform and opening up, the memories of the times are restored, and the unique essence of Shekou is connected in series, exhibited in this world and passed on to future generations.
Shekou Museum of Reform and Opening-up provides visitors with a place to learn about Shekou Industrial Zone and the early history of reform and opening-up, and at the same time conveys the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the new Shekou and the spirit of constantly promoting social progress and development.
The overall design feature of the museum is industrial style. There are two themes in the museum: the story of spring and Yuan Geng. At the entrance, the first thing you see is a group of sculptures.
Restored the historical moment when central leaders such as Yang and others listened to Yuan Geng's introduction to the development of Shekou Industrial Zone during their first southern tour on 1984.
It reflects the great significance of Deng Xiaoping's southern tour to the development of reform and opening up in Shekou and Shenzhen, and presents the achievements of Shekou, which was at the forefront of reform and opening up at that time.
The museum also treasures many historical marks left by entrepreneurs of China Merchants, represented by Yuan Geng.
There are many documents, letters, photos and materials involved in the construction of Shekou Industrial Zone, and there are also collective memories of ordinary migrant workers coming to Shekou for construction, such as badges, medals, certificates, products, trophies and medals.
In addition to visiting the precious exhibits in the collection, the museum also uses the means of acoustic and photoelectric demonstration and special material media to create more than a dozen vivid scenes of Shekou in the past through creative design, so that the audience can be there.
During this period, many guests stayed at Sanyo Factory in 1980s, experienced the scene of workers riding happily on Liyuan Road, and recalled the three-dimensional and real eventful years.
