When was Dapeng City established?
Dapeng Suocheng was founded in A.D. 1394.

Dapeng Lock City, the full name of which is "Dapeng Shouqianhu Lock City", is located in Pengcheng Village, Dapeng Peninsula in the east of Shenzhen, covering an area of 1 10000 square meters. It was founded in the twenty-seventh year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (AD 65,438+0394), so Shenzhen is now also called "Pengcheng". The vicissitudes of the ancient city, 600 years of wind and rain, Dapeng City witnessed the historical and cultural changes in Shenzhen.

Dapeng lock city structure

The city has a square layout, covering an area of about 1 10000 square meters. The city wall is made of blue bricks and granite. The wall base is 5 meters wide, the wall is 2 meters wide and 6 meters high. The total length of the city wall is about 1, 200 meters. There are 654 battlements and four gates in the east, west, north and south on the city wall. There is a watchtower on each gate, with four on each side.

A moat with a length of1200m, a depth of 3m and a width of 5m surrounds the city. There are three main streets in this city: Nanmen Street, Dongmen Street and Main Street.
