Rizhao tea history
Rizhao tea is a specialty of Rizhao city, Shandong province, and its history can be traced back to Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty. In the Tang Dynasty, Rizhao was a famous tea-producing area at home and abroad, which was then called "Song Fang". During the Song Dynasty, Rizhao tea production gradually developed into an increasingly prosperous industry and became one of the most respected tea brands in the international tea market.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the method of making Rizhao tea changed a lot. The picking time is divided into three periods: morning, middle and evening. Rizhao tea uses several different methods to form a unique tea-making process. One of the most representative is the method of "green shoots and red tablets". This method of making tea retains the fresh fragrance of tea, as well as the natural aroma and nutritional components of tea.

Nowadays, Rizhao tea, as one of the top ten famous teas in China, has become one of the main economic sources in Shandong Province. The tea produced every year is not only supplied to the domestic market, but also exported to all parts of the world. Its history and traditional tea-making technology provide more choices for people to taste high-quality tea.
