Shidong Temple was built in the first year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1662). After the construction, monks and Taoists moved in and were born. Because of its topography, through the efforts of several generations of monks and Taoists, it has made great achievements and has begun to take shape. In the eleventh year of Xianfeng (A.D. 186 1), celebrities such as Li Kaisheng and Yang Zhaolong "sincerely donated money to repair the cave Buddha and exchanged gold for a dharma body". At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Ma Yutang, a local gentry, built a cornice corridor on the hanging wall of the plank road between the two caves, and named it "Yingxian Building" to fill in its scale. In the thirty-third year of Guangxu (1907), the original site of Tufo was transferred to Shidong Temple, and fixed funds for religious activities began to be established under the religious food field. In addition, "ten monks and Taoist priests raise money and ask workers to fill in the old and add the new" to become a "holy temple", which is clean and tidy inside and outside. Therefore, many officials, businessmen, scholars, officials, farmers, workers and businessmen, as well as a variety of religions, have climbed mountains and walked to caves to enjoy the charming scenery of "green mountains and green peaks, natural buildings, towering halls, empty caves and Penglai at sea" Since then, worshippers have been in an endless stream, and prominent officials, gentry and Confucian scholars have successively inscribed Mo Yan's "Strange Rocks and Cuigu" and "Mirage View"; Dali Yangzhong Mo Yan's "Cui Yan" and "the first Penglai peak in the south"; Li Hunan's topic "Apes sigh at night"; There is also a unique gold plaque made by Lu Chaoxing, the mayor of Banka, in 19 19 (the eighth year of the Republic of China). There is a four-line poem hanging at the mouth of the cave, which brilliantly expresses the landscape of the whole temple: "The cause of immortals is normal, but I am afraid that ordinary people do not ask for goodness, and the traces can be found. The depths of white clouds are fairy towns." In order to settle down and satisfy pilgrims from all directions, they set foot on a street called Penglai Market.
Street, followed by incense sticks, money paper, tobacco and alcohol, sugar tea and local products exchange services. Later, more than a dozen families lived in the north of the cave and made some tea, rice and snacks for tourists. On the fifteenth day of the first month every year, we drive Penglai back to the street (also known as the fifteenth street). There was a sea of people at the meeting. There were many people in our hometown, other counties and other States, scrambling for each other, and it was not far from Wan Li. In the ancient calendar, Shidong Temple held the "Tide Fighting Meeting" in June and September every year, and on June 6th and September 9th. Counties, towns and insurance companies should send people to study issues related to raising food funds.
