Dianchi Lake is located in the southwest of Kunming City, Yunnan Province, also known as Kunming Lake, and was called Nanze in ancient times. Dianchi Lake is1886m above sea level, 40km long from north to south, 8km wide from east to west on average, with an average water depth of about 5.5m and an area of 340 square kilometers. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, fertile fields and fertile fields, with prosperous culture, beautiful scenery and numerous scenic spots, it is the "Jiangnan Plateau" that has attracted many tourists since ancient times.

Dianchi Lake, the sixth largest freshwater lake in China, is a lake formed by the collapse of the central Yunnan Plateau, which is injected by more than 20 rivers such as Panlong River. From more than 2 billion years ago to120,000 years ago, due to repeated crustal movements, the Yuxi Basin declined, and the crust of the central Yunnan Plateau rose sharply, cutting off the passage of Dianchi Lake water flowing southward into Nanpanjiang River and Red River. Dianchi Lake water turned north and entered Jinsha River through Mantichuan River and Puliu River. Dianchi Lake flows in the opposite direction to other rivers in Yunnan, which is called "the strange river flows backwards".

Xu Shen, a famous writer in Han Dynasty, explained the word "Yunnan" in Shuo Wen Jie Zi: "People in Yunnan are uneasy." It refers to the phenomenon that the flow direction of Dianchi Lake water system is "upside down". Li Daoyuan of the Northern Wei Dynasty also said: "The pool is in the northwest of the county, about 300 miles in a week. The source is deep and wide, and the downstream is shallow and narrow, but the water flows backwards, so it is called Dianchi Lake." Now, Dianchi Lake has become a symbol of Yunnan, and "Dian" has also become the abbreviation of Yunnan Province.

The climate in Le Di of Dianchi Lake is moderate in dry and wet, cool and pleasant, with an average annual temperature of 65438 05℃, an average of 20℃ in summer and 9℃ in winter. This is a good place where there is no heat in summer, no cold in winter and four seasons like spring.

Dianchi Lake is rich in water resources. More than 20 large and small rivers, such as Panlong River, Haiyuan River, Golden Juice, Silver Juice, Baoxiang River, Mario River and Kunyang River, converge from four sources in Kelly Y Zhou, among which Panlong River, which runs through the north and south and Kunming City, is the largest. According to legend, during the Dali Kingdom in the Song Dynasty, white jasmine flowers were planted on both sides of Panlong River, which was called "Silver Tea River".

The exit of Dianchi Lake is Haikou, which is on the west bank of Dianchi Lake. The lake bends from west to north, named Mantis River, and flows northward into Jinsha River. Haikou has a pleasant climate, quiet environment and rich minerals.

Because the area of Dianchi Lake is equivalent to 50 times that of Hangzhou West Lake, it has both the charm of the lake and the magnificent momentum of the sea. Morning glow, long moon, sparse stars, light fog, drizzle and clear light, Dianchi Lake is constantly changing colorful and magnificent scenes, giving people different beautiful enjoyment.
