It is precisely because of Hubei's long history that many cultural relics are buried underground, and some cultural relics that shocked China and foreign countries have been unearthed in modern times, providing precious historical materials for the study of ancient history.
1978, local people wanted to build a factory on a hill in Suizhou city, Hubei province, but a layer of brown soil was found after blasting. After observation, the person in charge of the site realized that this unusual soil was not naturally formed and immediately reported the situation to the archaeological research department.
The archaeological team soon came to the scene and began to dig. With the removal of the sealed soil, it is certain that there is a huge tomb with a magnificent organizational system. Obviously, the identity of the tomb owner is unusual. After textual research, it is preliminarily judged that the owner of the cemetery may be the monarch of Zeng State among the vassal states of Zhou royal family.
Such an important discovery made archaeologists cautious, because a small brick in a prominent cemetery might have research value, but when the grave was slowly opened, I saw that all the graves were filled with water and some coffins floated on the water.
How to get these coffins out intact? After careful scheme comparison, we finally decided to dig a ditch to let the water out, and the coffin will naturally come out with Shui Piao. When all the coffins came out with Shui Piao, people found that there were 23 coffins.
When archaeologists opened the coffin carefully, they were horrified to find that all the coffins were women's bones. Then, after studying these bones, people can't help but feel shocked and sad. It turns out that these women are all buried objects. According to scientific calculations, these women were only in their twenties when they died, and the youngest was only 13 years old.
Later, after in-depth study, some experts thought that these buried women were singers of the tomb owner. They played musical instruments and performed dances for the tomb owner because a large number of bronze musical instruments were found near their coffins. In modern times, this kind of martyrdom is obviously inhuman, so many people call the owner of the tomb inhuman.
This archaeological excavation unearthed a large number of precious cultural relics, which provided rare historical materials for studying the history of the Zhou Dynasty, including the world-famous bells of Zeng Houyi and Ceng Houyi Zunpan. Nearly 15000 cultural relics were unearthed, including 9 national treasures.
Unearthed written materials show that Ceng Houyi was a feudal city of the State of Zeng, named after Nan Gong, the founding hero of the Zhou Dynasty. Judging from the inscription of 3 1 on the bronze shovel given to him by King Hui of Chu, Ceng Houyi died about 433 BC, about 2600 years ago.
Ceng Houyi's Zeng Guo was the orthodox representative of the Zhou Dynasty. He attached importance to the "music" of "six arts" and maintained the system of rites and music, which was the foundation of governing the country in the Zhou Dynasty at that time. The excavation of large-scale ritual and music objects such as bells chimed by Zeng Houyi and bells chimed by Zeng Houyi proves that China has created a splendid ritual and music civilization.
