Fugu belongs to the intersection of Shaanxi, Shanxi and Mongolia provinces, with the Yellow River as its back and the Great Wall as its belly. It can be said that chickens crow in the three provinces, and drinking water is homesick. The ancient historical and cultural accumulation and the marriage of Mongolian and Han nationalities have formed the mutual exchange between farming culture and nomadic culture, and bred splendid folk art, among which Fugu Errentai in northern Shaanxi is a wonderful work.
According to records, Fugu Errentai was an artist team formed during the Tongzhi period of Yu Daqing (1862), but there was no such title as Errentai, which originated from the duet of folk songs and the singing of oratorios, so it was called meditation, and it was also called "yangko singing" or "juggling" when the Chinese New Year holiday was accompanied by social fire. It is understood that Errentai is a folk opera popular in central and western Inner Mongolia, northwestern Shanxi, northwestern Shaanxi and Zhangjiakou, Hebei. Its original tunes are local folk songs, such as singing "Beat Cherry" and "Beat the Back Cover" which evolved from Han folk songs in central and western Inner Mongolia, singing "Go West", "Five Brothers Grazing Sheep" and "Pearl Rolling Door" which evolved from northern Shaanxi folk songs, and singing "Send Big Brother", "Shilidun" and "Embroidered Pocket". Paizi music has absorbed a lot of Shanxi opera, folk percussion and religious music.
With Hohhot as the boundary, the schools of Errentai can be divided into West Road and East Road. Originally known as Mongolian songs, Errentai on West Road is mainly popular in Hohhot, Baotou, Bayannur League, Yikezhao League, Yulin and Xinzhou. The East Road Errentai, formerly known as "Beng" or Errentai, is mainly popular in Wulanchabu League, Yanbei area and Zhangjiakou area. The traditional repertoire of Errentai mainly describes labor production, exposes the darkness of the old society and praises marriage and love, as well as some fairy tales and historical stories. The two-person platform on the west road has plays such as playing money, cherry, back cover, climbing mountains and arranging flowers. , while the Errentai on the East Road has returned to Guannan, pulled donkeys, picked peppers, sold sesame candy and Lanzhou City. According to the relevant researchers of Fugu County Cultural Bureau, the singing forms of Fugu duet are mainly divided into three categories: hard-coded drama, whipping drama and duet, and also divided into scenes and scenes. Among them, hard-coded dramas pay attention to singing, reading and doing, and require performers to have better voice conditions; Pay attention to dance performance and whip play; A duet is sung by two people in turn.
Fugu Errentai is rooted in the local area and survives and develops with the life, production, politics, economy and culture of the local people. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the people suffered from years of war. Hedong, Shanxi and local people fled the war and made a living outside the exit (outside the Great Wall). On the way, folk artists sang in teams all the way. Frequent mouth-to-mouth contact makes Fugu Errentai and Jinmeng folk culture develop together. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, folk art also gained attention and gained a new life. 1953, people from Mazhen Town, Fugu County participated in the first national folk music and dance performance on behalf of Northwest China. Since he sang duets "Five Brothers Grazing Sheep" and "Nian Nun" on the dulcimer, it has been a blockbuster. Errentai is popular on both sides of the middle reaches of the Yellow River and in agricultural areas inside and outside the Great Wall. Because of its remote location and inconvenient transportation, it brings many difficulties to excavation, arrangement and protection. With the death of the old artist, many tracks and plays are on the verge of extinction, and need urgent rescue and protection. 1955, Chen heai, the former county cultural center, recorded and compiled (lithograph) the three series of Errentai in northern Shaanxi. 1957, Han E and Wang xiuying from Mazhen participated in the Shaanxi Folk Artists Exhibition held in Xi 'an, and won the first and second prizes respectively for their performances "Celebrating the New Year in Liancheng" and "Hanging the Red Light". Fugu duet was always in a prosperous period in the 1950s, but it was left out in the cold during the ten-year Cultural Revolution. However, the amateur propaganda team of Mao Zedong Thought organized by the county cultural center is still touring the countryside with old songs and new words.
1983, the county cultural center organized a two-person Taiwan team of 22 people to participate in the regional folk art performance and won the collective prize, and eight performers won the prize at the same time. That year, the county government executive meeting decided to set up Fugu County Folk Errentai Troupe, with 18 basic actors. 1990, "fugu county amateur song and dance troupe" was established.
