What do you mean by autumn soldiers on the battlefield?
The explanation of the autumn soldiers on the battlefield is: this is a military parade on the autumn battlefield.

Original poem

Drunk in the dream of watching the sword under the oil lamp, dreaming back to the old days of the military camp, a horn sounded. Eight hundred miles to divide the main fire, fifty strings to turn over the Great Wall, and the enemy is on the battlefield in autumn. Horses run like Ma Delu, bows and arrows fly like thunder. It is a good idea for the emperor to complete the great cause of recovering the lost land of the country and gain a good reputation from generation to generation. Poor hair has become a white-haired man!

translate

In the drunken dream, I lit the oil lamp and looked at the sword. In my dream, I went back to the camp and blew the horn one by one. Distribute roast beef to subordinates, and the band will play northern Xinjiang songs. This is a military parade on the battlefield in autumn. Horses run like horses, bows and arrows thunder. (a) bent on completing the great cause of recovering the territory for the monarch and gaining a good reputation handed down from generation to generation. Poverty has become a white-haired man!

Creation background

When Xin Qiji was twenty-one, he took part in the anti-Jin uprising in his hometown Licheng (now Jinan, Shandong). After the failure of the uprising, he returned to the Southern Song Dynasty and became an official in many places. He settled the people's livelihood, trained the army, and strongly advocated the recovery of the Central Plains, but he was rejected. Later, he was not allowed to be appointed for a long time and lived in seclusion for nearly 20 years.

In the winter of the 15th year of Xichun, Song Xiaozong (1 188), Xin Qiji and Chen Liang met in Piaoquan, Qian Shan, which was the second "Goose Lake Meeting". Chen Liang was brilliant and spirited, and Kan Kan talked about it. He claimed to be able to "tear down the wisdom and courage of his life and open the eternal heart" and wrote Five Theories on Zhongxing and Filial Piety successively, actively advocating the war of resistance, which was hit by the capitulators.

I visited Xin Qiji in Lead Mountain this time and stayed for ten days. After leaving, Xin Qiji wrote the words "He Xinlang said wine pavilion" and gave it to him. He composed a song. Later, I sang it over and over again with the same plaque. This song "Broken Array" was also written during this period, probably five years after the Goose Lake Meeting and before the Hangzhou Meeting.

Make an appreciative comment

This was written by Xin Qiji, a poet in the Song Dynasty. By recalling the spirit of the lineup of the anti-gold troops in the early years and the author's own battlefield career, this word expresses the ideal of killing the enemy and serving the country and regaining lost ground, and expresses the grief and indignation that the ambition is hard to pay and the hero is dying. He vividly portrayed a heroic, loyal and brave general image by creating a magnificent artistic conception.

The whole word breaks the rules in structure. The first nine sentences have one meaning, the latter one has another meaning, and the first nine sentences are denied by the latter one. The first nine sentences were written heartily, just to aggravate the disappointment of the last sentence. This artistic technique embodies the bold style and original spirit of Xin Ci.
