"People's Republic of China (PRC) Environmental Protection Law" was adopted by the 11th meeting of the Seventh NPC Standing Committee of People's Republic of China (PRC) on February 26th, 2009, and is hereby promulgated and shall come into force as of the date of promulgation.

The 8th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress of People's Republic of China (PRC) NPC was revised and adopted on April 24th, 20th14th. The revised Environmental Protection Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) is hereby promulgated and shall come into force on June 24th, 2065438+05+6/kloc-0.

The content of extended information environmental law mainly includes the prevention and protection of pollution of natural environment and resources, while titles such as "Pollution Prevention Law" are easily understood as limited to the prevention and control of environmental pollution, but fail to summarize all the contents of environmental law. For this reason, countries that adopt this name call it "environmental law", while retaining the past name.

The task of environmental law is not only to protect the environment, but also to improve the environmental quality. However, the title of China's Environmental Protection Law is only "protection" but not "improvement", which fails to comprehensively summarize the tasks of environmental law. Therefore, people tend to use the name "environmental law".

There are more ideas about the concept of environmental law than the name of environmental law, and there is no agreed concept of environmental law.
