The Historical Evolution of Baoguang Temple
Baoguang Temple is located in the west of Jiefang Village, Baoqing Town, Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province, and in the south of Yuanbaoshan. Named after Master Anxi, Vice President of the Buddhist Association of Heilongjiang Province. 1985, the supervisor organized a Buddhist chanting hall in Baoqing county. 1987, Baoqing county Buddhist group was established. Upon the application of the Buddhist group, the United Front Work Department of the county party committee 1988 agreed, and the county party committee 1990 approved the construction of the temple. 1990 On April 26th, the foundation stone laying ceremony of Daxiong Hall was held, and it was completed on September 29th, with an inscription by Mr. Zhao Puchu. 1997 The opening ceremony of the Ursa Major Hall was held on the third day of the seventh lunar month. At present, the Mountain Gate, Ursa Major Hall, East and West Liao Fang, Dizang Hall, Wuguantang, Buddhist Hall, kitchen, warehouse and circulation office have been built, and the temple covers an area of18,000 square meters.

In order to solve the problem of insufficient funds for temple construction, Master Cheng Wu, the abbot, led the people to open vegetable gardens, buckle greenhouses and open bedding and clothing factories for ten years. Ren Xiangdeng's true master took out his life savings of 14000 yuan and personally went to the market to sell the flowers he had cultivated for many years, and all the proceeds were donated to Baoguang Temple. Layman Zhang Yueqin donated 5,000 yuan successively, and also gave the pine trees at home to the temple. In the process of building the temple, he experienced wind and rain and never complained. Jin, a layman, cooks and does odd jobs for various societies in Baoguang Temple, regardless of personal gain or loss. He and amateur Zhang Yueqin have selflessly helped dozens of poor families in their hometown. Master Zhike worked hard to manage everything in the temple in order and was famous for his diligence and care for his family. It is because of everyone's sincerity that we moved the masses of believers, Qi Xin, to work together to successfully complete the construction of Baoguang Temple.
