At the beginning of 1930, at the proposal of Herry Liu, chairman of China Kuomintang Henan Province, the joint meeting of the Kuomintang party, government and army passed a resolution to build Henan Radio Station. In the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), the Henan provincial government appointed him as the director of the preparatory office, and the preparatory work was completed at the end of July of the same year. In the same year, Henan Radio Station was formally established. Henan Radio Station is the first radio station in Henan Province. At that time, its transmitting power was 200 watts, with its own power supply and two generators. One is a 20-horsepower generator made in Germany, and the other is a belt-driven 12 volt DC generator with a voltage of 220 volts.
Henan People's Broadcasting Station was established in Kaifeng in July, 1950, piloted in September and officially launched on New Year's Day, 195 1.
