The prototype of three-body statue in Shantou city
The prototype of Shantou Three-body Statue (Ascending) is the three world champions of Shantou diving, namely: Li Hongping, Li Qiaoxian and Li Deliang. Li Hongping, born in 1983, won the second world cup diving competition in June/981,becoming the first diving men's world champion in China, which started the glorious journey of China's diving "dream team". Li Qiaoxian, female, was born in 1967. 1985, the fourth world cup diving competition won the women's team and mixed team championships. Li Deliang, born in 1967, won the men's team and mixed team in the 6th World Cup diving competition. They all happened to come from the same village, namely Jinsha Township, Shantou City (now Jinsha Street, jinping district, Shantou City, according to Li Hongxin's 199 1: Historical Evolution of Chaoshan Area), so these three world champions are collectively called "Jinsha Lisan". In 1980s, the diving events in Shantou repeatedly interpreted China's diving "myth", and the fame of "Jinsha Sanli" once resounded throughout the country. In fact, Shantou is known as the "hometown of diving", and diving has become the dominant sport in this city, which is also closely related to the three diving heroes in China.

In reality, the prototype of Shantou Three-body Statue (Rise) is "Jinsha Sanmei", in which only Li Qiaoxian is a female player, and the three statues of the athletes of the Three-body Statue use the shapes of two women, which is inconsistent with the prototype. This is because "artistic creation originates from life, but is not based on reality". Zheng, the creator of Shantou's three-body statue, believes that considering that urban sculpture should not be too specific, artistic treatment is necessary. If it is designed as two men and one woman, it is easy to give people the feeling of being seated. Therefore, the sculpture creation team decided to deliberately blur; In addition, the creative team believes that women's bodies are more beautiful if they are considered from the perspective of sculpture art. Therefore, the sculpture themes of two women and a man are thus determined. Shantou three-person statue is an artistic creation and artistic sublimation based on the actual life image of "Jinsha Sanmei".
