The History and Culture of Yuelai Restaurant
During the reign of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, Li Zichao, the owner and disciple of Yuelai Restaurant, a famous brand-name old shop in Xuzhou, used a carp to cook four dishes: silver pearl fish, diced fish with vinegar, multi-flavor keel and fish-coat soup. Among them, "silver pearl fish" is the best. Li Pan, the champion of the Qing Dynasty, once wrote a poem praising this dish after tasting it in our shop: "The carp is stripped of silver beads, the keel is sunken, the prince's clothes are floating in the sea, the machete is full of sweet and sour, and the dish is given to Yaotai, which has a thousand years of fragrance." When Kang Youwei crossed Xuzhou. Celebrity chef Zhai also cooked silver pearl fish as a dedication. After Kang tasted it, he wrote a slogan: "Pengcheng Fish Pill has heard your name for a long time, and its reputation has spread far and wide."
