Xin 'an College has a long history and a long culture. In BC 109 (the second year of Yuanfeng in the Western Han Dynasty), Bengu County was established and located in Xin 'an Institute. In A.D. 1508 (the third year of next year), thousands of households were set up in Xin 'an to station troops and fields. Since then, place names have been used in Xin 'an. In A.D. 15 17 (the 12th year of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty), the ancient city of Jian 'an was built. In A.D. 1687 (the 26th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi), the court returned to Mengzi County. More than 2,000 years of historical vicissitudes and 1000 years of military activities gave birth to the glorious history and splendid culture of Xin 'an Institute, leaving cultural relics scattered throughout the region. By the end of 2007, there were 1 1 historical blocks in Ming and Qing Dynasties, 5 military sites, 9 ancient temples, 68 ancient dwellings, more than 800 ancient tombs, 23 ancient stone tablets, an ancient stage, ancient shops, ancient post roads and many other material and cultural heritages, and the makeup party, grottoes, calligraphy, painting, carving and so on were preserved. It is the physical witness of military politics, economy and trade, culture and education and social development in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It completely preserves and reflects the traditional features, local characteristics and ethnic customs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and has high historical, cultural, artistic and scientific value, attracting a large number of tourists.
