According to some redology experts, the prototype of Lin Daiyu is Li Xiangyu, the granddaughter of Suzhou weaver Xu Li during the reign of Kangxi, and her father is Li Ding, who was a salt teacher in Lianghuai School. Weaving and salt courses are two important departments of the Qing court in Jiangnan, which can only be served by the emperor's closest courtiers. Li Xiangyu is the apple of the Li family's eye, and the degree of being loved at home can be imagined.
Cao Li and his two families are the minions of Kangxi. They are both in charge of the weaving institute (Cao Xueqin's grandfather Cao Yin was weaving in Jiangning at that time). They are close relatives. Xu Li is the younger brother of Cao Xueqin's first grandmother, so it is natural that Cao Xueqin and Li Xiangyu have close contacts.
After Cao Xueqin's grandfather Cao Yin died, his son Cao Qing inherited his father, and he died within three years. Cao Xueqin is his posthumous son. Cao Xueqin's grandmother Li loves Cao Xueqin very much and always carries it with her. Every time I go to Suzhou to visit my mother, Mrs. Wen, who is nearly ninety years old, I often take Cao Xueqin with me. They have been living in Li Dingjia's Humble Administrator's Garden. So Cao Xueqin and Li Xiangyu played together since childhood, studied calligraphy together, and composed poems together. They are childhood friends, there is no speculation. It is not surprising that as you get older, you will become emotional over time.
At the end of Kangxi, Li Ding and his wife were ill and bedridden. Although Yu Xiang is very young, she often takes care of patients. Soon, Li Ding and his wife passed away. Yu Xiang suffered this misfortune and cried every day. Although her grandparents take care of her, she can't alleviate her sadness. Cao Xueqin's grandmother sympathized with Xiang Yu and always took her to Jiangning Weaving Institute to learn from Cao Xueqin. Since then, the two have been close and affectionate. At that time, Cao Xueqin vividly said in the seventy-two chapters of A Dream of Red Mansions: "We have been close since childhood, and you have never treated me as an outsider, and I dare not neglect you." The deep feelings of the two can be seen.
Although Li Xiangyu was cared for and comforted by grandma Cao Xueqin, her family was hit hard soon. Xu Li was dismissed because of the court struggle and died soon. Yu Xiang was alone and had to live in Cao's house for a long time. However, the Cao family was soon dismissed for the same reason, and the Cao family's property in Jiangning disappeared. Jiangning can't survive. Fortunately, there are many relatives and friends in Beijing. With the approval of the imperial court, Cao Jia moved to Beijing in 1728, and Xiang Yu also arrived in Beijing.
Cao's home in Beijing depends entirely on his relatives and friends. Although Li Xiangyu's life is intact, it is inevitable that she will be disturbed by gossip because of her dependence on others. Besides, she is sentimental and unhappy. Although Cao Xueqin's grandmother took good care of her and Qin Xue was gentle and relieved, she was still worried. In a few years, the fragrance disappeared and died.
There is also circumstantial evidence that Li Xiangyu is the prototype of Lin Daiyu, that is, in the twenty-seventh chapter of A Dream of Red Mansions, "I love to tell stories at night, and my meaning is endless, and the jade will grow fragrant every day." In one chapter, Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu were lying opposite each other. Jia Baoyu made up a story about a little mouse stealing taro: one day, the old mouse told all the mice to steal rice and melons separately to make laba porridge, and a little mouse recommended himself to steal incense. The mice laughed at its small size, and the little mouse said confidently, "I turned into taro and rolled around in the pile of taro, making people invisible ... but I took it with me in both places." "Rats call it taro. The little mouse suddenly became the most beautiful young lady. The mice said, "This is not right." The mouse said, "I said that you have never seen the world, but you only know that this fruit is taro, but you don't know that Master Yan's young lady is the real fragrant jade. Obviously, the author uses this story to imply that Lin Daiyu is the incarnation of Li Xiangyu.
Li Xiangyu died of illness in his early years, which hit Cao Xueqin the hardest. Later, the Cao family suffered a major change, and the family road was never recovered. Cao Xueqin's family lived a poor life of "porridge and wine are always on credit". In order to commemorate her confidante in her early years, Qin Xue devoted her life to writing an immortal masterpiece A Dream of Red Mansions at the expense of "ten years' review and five additions and deletions".
Among the many characters in A Dream of Red Mansions, Lin Daiyu impressed us the most, which is inseparable from Cao Xueqin's colorful rendering and emotional portrayal of the character. It turns out that the background of the creation of A Dream of Red Mansions once contained an unforgettable love, and the prototype figure of Lin Daiyu was Cao Xueqin's childhood friend.
The name of Lin Daiyu's prototype is Li Xiangyu, the granddaughter of Su Zhi during the reign of Kangxi, and the apple of the eye of two Huai salt classes. Xu Li is the younger brother of Cao Xueqin, the author of A Dream of Red Mansions. After Cao Xueqin's grandfather Cao Yin died, his son inherited his father, and he died in the capital in less than three years. Cao Xueqin is his posthumous son.
Cao Xueqin's grandmother Li loves it very much. Every year when she visits Mrs. Wen, who is nearly ninety years old, she will take her with her and often stay in Li Dingjia's "Humble Administrator's Garden". Therefore, Li Ding's daughters, Xiang Yu and Qin Xue, often met at an early age, reading and playing together. Childhood friends, two young people fell in love without guessing.
At the end of Kangxi, Li Ding and his wife died, leaving only Xiang Yu. This clever woman was deeply loved by her grandmother Qin Xue, so she was taken to Jiangning Weaving Department and raised by her grandmother. However, the good times did not last long. Xu Li was dismissed and raided because of the struggle between the court parties. At this point, Yu Xiang was alone. Qin Xue's family also suffered bad luck, and his family business began to waver.
1728, Cao Shijia moved to Beijing, followed by Yu Xiang. In the capital, Cao Shi can still be taken care of by relatives and friends, but Yu Xiang feels dependent on others, so he is unhappy. Besides, she is naturally sentimental. Although Qin Xue became gentle and relieved, she became old, but her life failed and her worries were hard to calm down. A few years later, she died. Qin Xue was heartbroken, so he tried to write A Dream of Red Mansions as a souvenir.
outline
Lin Daiyu is aloof, innocent and pure. Like Baoyu, she hates red tape and never forces Baoyu to do what he doesn't want to do. She despises fame and power. When Jia Baoyu gave her a string of precious rosaries from Beijing Jingdi and Yongzheng, she said, "I don't want this thing from a smelly man!" She and Baoyu share the same interests and really love each other. Lin Daiyu died in tears.
First of all, Lin Daiyu is a woman with inner wisdom and external beauty. "These two bays are like frowning eyebrows and a pair of crying eyes. The state has two sorrows, and it is sick. Tears a little, breath slightly. Laziness shines on the water like a beautiful flower and acts like a weak willow. The heart is a little more than the stem, and the disease is not as good as the west. " This poem fully shows Daiyu's blurred, dreamy, morbid, weak and dynamic beauty and temperament. I can't find a better adjective to fully describe such refined beauty and charm, or "she is peerless and delicate", or "this woman should only be in the sky, how can she be seen on earth!" The beauty of Lin Daiyu is also manifested in her brilliant talent and poetic temperament.
