Yue Opera, one of the five major operas of Han nationality in China, is also the "second largest opera in China". The late Qing Dynasty originated in Shengxian County, Zhejiang Province (named after the location of the ancient Yue State) and developed from local folk songs. Originated in Shanghai. In the process of development, it absorbed the achievements of Kunqu opera, traditional Chinese opera and Shao opera. It has experienced the evolution from men's Yue Opera to women's Yue Opera.
History of Yue Opera
At first, Yue Opera was developed from Quyi's "singing on the ground". The twelfth year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (1852) was created by farmer Jin in Matang Village, Xixiang County, Sheng County. Di Shu aria is a popular rap form in Matang Village, Shengxian County, Zhejiang Province (Matang Village is the main place and the birthplace of Yue Opera, so Yue Opera should have a history of nearly 150 years), and it has evolved into a traditional opera form performed by rural grass platform, which was once called Xiaogeban, Deduban and Shaoxing Wenxi. Artists are all male farmers who are semi-agricultural and semi-artistic at first.
