Brief introduction of yuyuan garden
Yu Garden, also called Hu Jia Garden, is located in the southwest corner of Nanjing, facing Yangming Street in jiqingmen in front and toilet water in the back. It is one of the famous Jiangnan gardens in the late Qing Dynasty, covering an area of about 20,900 square meters. The history of Yuyuan Garden can be traced back to Xu Fu, the descendant of Zhongshan King Xu Da in Ming Dynasty. After several changes, it was bought by A Qing Dynasty Hu Enxie and built a private garden. It is a famous Jiangnan garden in the late Qing Dynasty and is known as the "Jinling Lion Garden". Like other gardens in the south of the Yangtze River, it has suffered from repeated wars and has been continuously repaired since modern times. In recent years, the School of Architecture of Southeast University began to repair and protect the Yuyuan Garden on the basis of Mr. Tong Mao's hand-painted Chronicle of Jiangnan Gardens, supplemented by old historical materials.
