The sixth time is the lanzhou-chongqing railway West Qinling Tunnel under construction.
Lanzhou-chongqing railway West Qinling Tunnel, with a total length of 28,236 meters, is the second longest railway tunnel (including under construction) in China, second only to Xinguanjiao Tunnel in Wudu District, Longnan City, Gansu Province. As a double-hole single-track tunnel, China Tunnel Group and China Railway 18th Bureau adopted two TBM and drilling and blasting methods for construction. West Qinling Tunnel started construction in August 2008, which is the first construction project in lanzhou-chongqing railway with a construction period of about 5 years.
