Xinxiang City, Henan Province, also known as Mu Ye, is a place name in history. It is located in the north of Xinxiang City, including Fengquan District, Weihui City, huixian city and Huojia County under the jurisdiction of Xinxiang City.

Historical events:

Bi Gan, a loyal minister in the Yin Dynasty, and Jiang Shang, a Buddhist in the Western Zhou Dynasty, were born here. In the last years of Shang Dynasty, the battle of Makino, where 800 governors allied forces helped Zhou cut Zhou, took place here. Today, there are relics of Jiang Taigong Temple, Bigan Temple and Jiang Taigong's hometown.

The origin of Xinxiang name:

In the second year of Emperor Gaozu (the first 205 years), Jixian County was established in Weihui, which belonged to Hanoi County. Xinzhong is a township in Jixian County, namely Xinzhong Township. In the fifth year of Ding Yuan (1 12), in summer and April, South Vietnam (now Guangzhou) rebelled, and Emperor Wu sent troops to crusade.

In the sixth year of Ding Yuan (before 1 1 1), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty visited Xinzhong Township, and got news that he had captured the head and changed Xinzhong Township to Huojia County. After the Sui Dynasty unified the whole country, Jixian County and Huojia County were designated as new counties in the sixth year (586), and the original "Xinzhong Township" was named as the county name, thus "Xinxiang" went down in history.
