According to the staff, Liu Yazi's former residence was actually not built by the Liu family, but a historical building built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It was originally the private residence of Zhu Yuanzhang, governor of Zhili and minister of industry, and was completed before 1780. The house was named "Blessing Hall", with a depth of 92.9 meters and an area of 2,603 square meters. The existing three brick-carved gatehouses are tall, majestic and lifelike, and have extremely high artistic value.
Later, when the Zhou family declined, Liu Yazi's mother rented this deep house compound from the descendants of the Zhou family on 1899, and the family moved from their hometown, Hufenshengda Village. On the cabinet behind the glass of the hall of Liu Yazi's former residence, there is a remnant plaque with the words "Futang" written on it. In the center of the second entrance hall is a white marble bust of Mr. Liu Yazi inscribed by Deng on1985165438+1October 20th. Above this statue, there is a white book plaque which is called "rare among people" by the President.
Further back, there is a full-length bronze statue of Liu Yazi in the hall. The bronze statue is what Mr. Wang looks like in his later years. He has a long beard and is mentally healthy. With a book in his hand, he looks very respected and gentle.
Hanging on the wall is part of Mr. Liu's fame. When Liu Yazi was young, he was at the forefront of the Revolution of 1911. Liu Yazi, a middle-aged man, is mature and steady, with many works, including Chronicle of Liu Yazi's Autobiography, Poems of Mo Jianshi, Ci Collection, A Brief Introduction to Nanshe, etc. In his later years, Liu Yazi and Chairman Mao became old friends. They exchanged poems, such as "For an Old Friend of Mao Runzhi" and "Spring in the Garden ● Snow".
Liu Yazi's former residence is a typical Jiangnan building with white walls and bright windows. The courtyard is strewn at random, and the plants are mostly plum, orchid and osmanthus. Although the sculptures on the wall have been damaged, some places still look very beautiful. Moreover, this building is not only the former residence of Liu Yazi, but also experienced three historical figures, besides Liu Yazi, Zhou Yuanli, the governor of Zhili and Minister of Industry mentioned above, and Tan Shaoguang, the king of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom who owned this house for a short time.
After Liu Yazi founded Nanshe, his former residence gradually became a gathering place for friends of Nanshe. The hall displays the "Nanshe Counter" and the publication Nanshe. Nanshe started from its predecessor Shinto Society 1907 and ended at Nanshe Memorial Service 1935. Nanshe has existed for 28 years, and Liu Yazi has always been a well-deserved leader. It is for this reason that this former residence is also a place where Nanshe people often meet and contact.
In the exhibition hall of the former residence, you can also see a large number of Nanshe manuscripts with 22 episodes, of which 3-7 episodes and 9-20 episodes were edited and published by Liu Yazi.
