What's the name of the dinosaur with a thorn in its back?
It's called Spinosaurus.

Spinosaurus spinosaurus, which means "spiny lizard", is a theropod dinosaur, which lived in Cretaceous (albion to early Sennorman) Africa, about 95 million to 93 million years ago. At present, it is uncertain whether the genus Spinosaurus is one or two, the most famous of which is the Egyptian Spinosaurus found in Egypt, and the second is the Moroccan Spinosaurus found in Morocco.

Spinosaurus was discovered and described by German paleontologist Ernst Strom in Egypt in 19 10. The original specimens were destroyed during World War II, but other skulls have been found in recent years.

The obvious long spines on the back of Spinosaurus are formed by the spinous process of the spine, and the length can reach 2 meters. There may be skin connections between long spines to form sails. However, some scientists believe that these long spines are covered by muscles, forming a hump or back. At present, there are several views on the functions of this kind of sail, including regulating body temperature and displaying objects. According to recent estimates, Spinosaurus is the largest known carnivorous dinosaur, even bigger than Tyrannosaurus Rex and sharks, but it is undoubtedly slightly longer than the southern behemoth.
