I come from Henan and grew up eating the water from Hongqi Canal.
Hongqi Canal, located in Linzhou City, is a water diversion project built by the people of Linxian County in the 1960s under extremely difficult conditions to solve the water shortage problem of local people. Known as the "artificial Tianhe".

On Sunday, my father drove me to visit the Hongqi Canal. Hongqi Canal is beautiful, including Fenshuiyuan Scenic Area, Youth Cave Scenic Area and Luosidan Scenic Area. I saw a sand table model in the Hongqi Canal Memorial Hall. According to the tour guide's sister, the source of Hongqi Canal is located in Pingshun County, Shanxi Province. The total length of the main canal is 70.6 kilometers, all of which are dug on the steep Taihang Mountain. The completion of the Hongqi Canal has completely solved the drinking water and irrigation problems of local people and animals. Known as the "life canal" by Linzhou people.

After 20 minutes' drive, we came to the Youth Cave Scenic Area. The "Youth Cave" was cut by a cliff and passed through the mountain from the cliff, presenting a magnificent picture. According to my father, the "Youth Cave" was dug by 300 young commandos on July 196 10 after a year and five months of fighting. In recognition of their achievements, this cave was named "Youth Cave". Grandpa Guo Moruo also personally wrote the name of the cave. The "Youth Cave" has become the most famous scenic spot on the Hongqi Canal, and tourists from all over the world come to visit it every year to learn the spirit of self-reliance and hard struggle.

From a distance, you can see the artificial Tianhe, ah! What a beautiful red flag canal!
