Aubrey Vincent beardsley (1872, August 2 1- 1898, March 16), also known as Aubrey Beardsley, is one of the greatest illustrators in Britain in the late19th century.

His ink painting is influenced by Japanese woodcut style, emphasizing grotesque, decadent and erotic.

Hearing the news of his death, Wilde wrote in a letter to someone: "He added a kind of terror to life, but he died at the age of ten. This is really terrible and sad."
