For the following reasons, I think it is good to expose children to history:
1, through understanding of history, encourage children to have greater curiosity and desire to learn knowledge.
2. Help children solve problems in the reading process. If you are reading these books, you will often ask me about the historical background and authenticity of these stories. Are there real people in history? Why write it as a myth? The origin of people and so on.
You can learn from other knowledge when you come into contact with it. Some knowledge is often based on some history. For example, some idioms in fruit science: "Teach others with an axe" and Lu in the Spring and Autumn Period, "Make up a few mistakes" and in the Warring States Period, "There is no bird in the door" tells the story of the Han Dynasty and "Looking at the plum to quench your thirst" tells the story of the Three Kingdoms. When you first know these stories, you will be familiar with them and have a deeper impression when you listen to them. There are also some legends that children learn some astronomical and geographical knowledge, which are all related to history, such as Li Guang, a general of the Western Han Dynasty involved in the legend of Crescent Moon Spring. Therefore, learning history has an analogy effect on learning related knowledge.
2. History of primary education in China. In ancient China, children's education was highly valued, and many educators advocated "enlightened cultivation of righteousness". The haiku of divination in Zhouyi records "enlightenment and correction, making meritorious deeds", which has become a guide for family education and enlightenment in the future. Educators of all ages have attached importance to the compilation of enlightenment textbooks. The most representative textbook of enlightenment is Three, One Hundred, One Thousand, One Thousand. The Classic of Three Characters compiled by Wang Yinglin has a total of 1000 words, from literacy to literacy, from common sense to history, from allusions to characters. And it is written in three-character rhyme, catchy, easy to read and remember. It is a typical children's textbook, which was adopted for a long time in the enlightenment education in the late feudal society of China. Zhu's Notes also has a certain influence on children's education. The book is divided into five parts: clothes and shoes, language trend, sweeping and cleaning, reading and writing, and chores, all of which have specific requirements and regulations for students' behavior. These textbooks still have important reference value for us to compile primary school textbooks today. China also had rich experience in children's education and teaching in ancient times, such as paying attention to children's reality. Put forward the principles and methods of setting an example, combining literature with Taoism, imperceptibly influencing, preventing minor delays, being good at saving losses, teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, and learning from each other's strengths. Wang Shouren's Masterpiece, Wang Yun's Godson and other books on children's education have also appeared, leaving a valuable educational legacy for future generations. Primary education is the beginning of children's schooling. At this stage, children will have three aspects of life. Second, from individual and loose group activities to organized and regular group activities; The third is the transformation from spoken language to written language. These transformations can enable children to break through the limitations of time and space and broaden their knowledge, thus having a great impact on promoting all-round development. It can be seen that the formation of children's ideological and moral character, the development of knowledge and ability, and the enhancement of physical quality will all officially begin in the primary education stage.
