Dingxing, Hebei Province, was subordinate to Baoding Prefecture in Zhili in Qing Dynasty, and it was an important garrison of the Eight Banners in the Gyeonggi area of Guannei in Qing Dynasty.
Yong Zhengdi ascended the throne in 1723, and soon after he came to power, he wiped out his political opponents one by one. Among them is Yin Gui, the ninth son of Emperor Kangxi. In the autumn of the first year of Yongzheng, Yong Zhengdi ordered him to guard the Xining Army in Qinghai. 1in the spring of 726, Yin Gui was detained in Baoding, Hebei Province during his return to Beijing to report on his work. In April of that year, Yong Zhengdi took the title of Yin Ghost in the name of "trespassing and indecent assault" and agreed on Yin Ghost in July. On August 27th of the same year, Yin Jian was killed in Baoding at the age of 43. His wife, children and family were sent to Baoding for imprisonment.
It was not until 1778 that Emperor Qianlong ordered the restoration of Yi Yin's original name and his title. Release their descendants and return to the royal family. His title was inherited by his eldest son, Hong. Since then, Yi Yin's descendants have been working in Zhili until the Qing Dynasty abdicated.
