First of all, the disappearance of Jehol Province has its complicated historical reasons. The three northeastern provinces are common sense to us now, but in fact, in the last century, there was another province in the northeast called Jehol Province. Jehol Province, Chahar Province, Ningxia Province and Suiyuan Province were also called the four provinces beyond the Great Wall at that time. Among them, Jehol Province was actually established in 1928, but after the Qing Dynasty entered the customs, Jehol Province was called Jehol place because of its different management methods, and only the generals guarding it stuck to it. The serious discrepancy between the area of Jehol Province and its population ratio is also one of the important reasons for the cancellation. It was not until the end of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression that Jehol Province was revoked on 1955.
2. Although Jehol Province is not well known, its charm still lies in the north of Hebei Province, the west of Liaoning Province and the east of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which constitutes the jurisdiction of Jehol Province, covering an area of170,000 square kilometers. Although Jehol Province has disappeared within the territory of China for various historical reasons, its national culture and customs are still passed down from generation to generation with the passage of time. We can capture the cultural atmosphere of Jehol in the unique cultures of the three northeastern provinces, Hebei Province and Inner Mongolia Province, especially the shadow play of Jehol in Chengde, Hebei Province.
Now the labels of the three northeastern provinces are nothing more than enthusiasm, boldness, pot-wrapped meat, barbecue and the like. Before the middle of the 20th century, Jehol Province also belonged to the Northeast, but due to historical reasons such as backward economy, sparse population and lack of management, Jehol Province is missing on today's map of China.
