Tung oil originated in the Yangtze River valley and has been introduced into Taiwan Province Province for a hundred years. Mainly used for extracting tung oil. The plant classification of tung tree belongs to Euphorbiaceae. There are two varieties of tung tree in Taiwan Province Province, one is thousand-year-old tung tree (with wrinkled skin) and the other is three-year-old tung tree (with smooth skin). Tung oil tree grows rapidly and can be used as furniture, matchsticks and toothpicks. It is also an ideal raw material for matches and paper industry. Tung oil tree mainly uses fruit to extract oil, and fruit can be used to extract tung oil, which has good water resistance. Tung oil is an internationally renowned waterproof oil for the umbrella surface of Minoan paper umbrella, and it is also an important paint raw material when the chemical industry is not so developed. According to experts, most of the tung trees in Taiwan Province Province are from Mouton, accounting for about 90%.
