The middle school affiliated to Jining University is located in the hometown of Confucius and Mencius, next to the canal. Its predecessor was Yangfang Township Primary School, which was founded in 1952. It has been renamed as Tsinghua East Primary School, Experimental Primary School, Jining No.7 Middle School, Jining No.4 Middle School, Middle School Affiliated to Jining Normal University and Middle School Affiliated to Jining University.

In 2000, the former Jining No.10 Middle School was merged into the whole system and the middle school affiliated to Jining University was established. In 20 12 and 20 18, the school signed cooperation agreements with the Social Undertaking Development Bureau of High-tech Zone and the Social Undertaking Development Center of Taibai Lake District, hosting Fengtai Middle School and Taibai Lake Experimental Middle School respectively, and establishing the High-tech Zone Campus of the Middle School Affiliated to Jining University and Taibai Lake Campus of the Middle School Affiliated to Jining University.

On August 26th, 20 18, the middle school education group affiliated to Jining University was established, and Jining No.3 Middle School and Jining No.4 Middle School became the campuses of No.3 Middle School and No.4 Middle School affiliated to Jining University. In 2020, the Red Star Campus was put into use, forming a pattern of one school and eight districts.
