What is Kaifeng Sokokuji?
Dasuoguo Temple in Kaifeng was founded in Tianbao six years in the Northern Qi Dynasty (555) and is located in the center of Kaifeng, a famous historical and cultural city in the Seven Dynasties. This temple has a long history and is one of the top ten famous Buddhist temples in China. It has an important position and extensive influence in the history of Buddhism in China.

In the fifteenth year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (AD 1642), Suoguo Temple was flooded by the Yellow River. In the 18th year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 166 1) and the 31st year of Qianlong (A.D. 1766), the emperor wrote twice to rebuild it, and Emperor Li Hong personally inscribed the plaque "Building Suoguo Temple". In the twenty-first year of Daoguang (A.D. 184 1), the Yellow River burst, and Dasuoguo Temple suffered another bad luck and was seriously damaged. After the founding of New China, following the ancient system, after several repairs, the temples reappeared brilliantly. Dasuoguo Temple resumed Buddhist activities from 1992, and rebuilt the bell and drum tower, release pool, gatehouse, memorial archway and other buildings.

In the history of Dasuoguo Temple, there are many monks and celebrities, magnificent buildings and rich temples. Wu Daozi, a painter in the Tang Dynasty, Su Shi, a famous writer and thinker, and Wang Anshi all left glorious footprints in the temple. The Water Margin and the story of pulling weeping willows are household names. In addition, the temple's "Purple Scenery" and "Guo Xiangzhong" landscapes are also among the "Eight Scenes of Bianjing", which are famous far and near. The existing temple buildings were built in the 18th year of Shunzhi (16 1) and the 31st year of Qianlong (1766) respectively. Their courtyard is deep and wide, and their hall is grand and solemn.
