As the saying goes: an inch long, an inch strong. In ancient times, especially on the battlefield, long weapons were the magic weapon to win. There are many kinds of long weapons, and the most commonly used ones should be guns, sticks and broadswords.
The King of Weapons-Gun
In Wulin, the gun has always been called the "king of weapons", which evolved from the original spear. There is a saying that "guns pick a line" and "guns stick to a line". The most common use of guns is sticky, so it is the most difficult to prevent. This is what I'm talking about. In addition to stabbing with a gun, there are other ways, such as "stop, take, split, collapse, pick, dial, belt, pull, circle and frame".
There are many masters who use guns throughout the ages. For example, Wang, a famous soldier in the Five Dynasties Liang Dynasty, was good at using iron guns, and was called "Wang Tie Gun". More famous is Yue Fei, a famous Southern Song Dynasty star. The gun he used was called "Liquan Spear" or "Eight-treasure Liquan Gun". In addition, Zhang Xian, Yang Zaixing, Gao Chong, etc. in Yuegujun are all experts in using guns.
During the Southern Song Dynasty, there was a woman in Weifang, Shandong Province, who was a marksman named Yang Lihua and a sharpshooter. Her marksmanship is called "pear gun", which is known as "pear gun is invincible in the world for twenty years" Later, her descendants met Qi Jiguang, and Qi Jiguang pointed out the defects in the pear gun, making it even worse!
In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Emei was the best marksman in the world; During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, there was a man named Zhang Yongxiang in Huaiyang District, Zhoukou City, Henan Province, who was also good at using guns. He is called "Zhang Tieqiang". He was invited by the Governor of Zhejiang Province to go to Zhejiang to catch thieves. Three months later, the thief was eliminated. This shows that his kung fu is quite powerful; During the Xianfeng period, there was a gunman named Tao in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, whose name was unknown. He built a gun, but he was defeated by Jiang stationed in Wuxi. Jiang's marksmanship is almost like a god. His gun flashes white light, just like a spinning wheel. When he was dancing with a gun, others threw water at him, but the water didn't go in. To tell the truth, this is a bit exaggerated, but it also shows that Jiang has no affection for him.
The oldest stick
The walking stick is the oldest weapon, and its manufacturing method is very simple. Breaking a long branch is also a long stick. The stick evolved from the early weapon Shu. Although the stick is simple, there are many kinds, such as long stick, eyebrow piercing stick and pointed stick. In terms of materials, there are wooden bars, iron bars and copper bars. But there are the most wooden sticks and metal sticks are too heavy for most people.
Early wooden sticks were generally made of jujube wood, which was strong and heavy, and later became white wax sticks, which were light and tough. This kind of stick is easy to practice, but it is difficult to learn and be accurate. It is characterized by its strength and quickness, and has many movements, such as sweeping the floor and dancing flowers. Therefore, there is a saying that "the stick sweeps across a large area", and the most famous stick method is Shaolin stick.
Besides long sticks, there are also some special forms of sticks, such as three-section sticks, which are three short sticks connected by iron rings. The practice is difficult and the tactics are changeable. A sharp stick is a long stick, and its end is connected with a short stick by an iron ring. When you meet the enemy, you can get unexpected results. Whether it's a three-section stick or a sharp stick, it's easy to hurt yourself if you don't use it well.
The most deterrent-broadsword
A single knife with a long handle is what we call a broadsword. As a sharp weapon, broadsword is much bigger than long stick or pike in terms of deterrence. It is estimated that the most famous long Dao is the Qinglong Crescent Moon Blade used by Guan Yunchang, but there is no such weapon in real history. Broadswords are generally single-edged. In the Tang Dynasty, there was a waist knife, which was three meters long and had blades on both sides. It was called a "stranger knife". In the Tang Dynasty, a special "Mo Dao Team" appeared.
At present, the broadsword in Wulin basically has no strange knife, only a single blade. In addition, anyone who has read Water Margin has heard of the weapon commonly used by heroes, the giant. The handle is shorter than the broadsword and the blade is smaller, but it is also used by both hands.
Other long weapons
Halberd. Before the Northern and Southern Dynasties, halberds were very popular. There are two kinds of halberds and short halberds. Short halberds are short weapons, usually with a pair. For example, Guo Xiaotian, the father of Guo Jing in The Legend of the Condor Heroes, used a double halberd. There are two kinds of halberds, double crescent and single crescent, which are called "Tian Fang Ji Hua", but this is not accurate. Only the double crescent can be called "Fang Tianji" and the single crescent can be called "Qinglong Ji", but in many novels or film and television dramas, it is called "Tian Fang Ji Hua". The most famous person who used Fang Tianji should be Lu Bu in the Three Kingdoms period, while the one who used the double halberd was Cao Cao's general Dian Wei.
Fork. Forks are widely used, which is very useful for farm work. Orion uses it the most. There are two kinds of forks. The three-legged fork at the end is called "three-headed fork" or "triangle fork", also called "tiger fork", and the two-legged fork at the end is called "horn fork". Most of the moves of fork method come from marksmanship, but more than marksmanship, it can lock a variety of weapons. Now practicing fork mainly depends on performance, so
Shovel. Shovel is a rare weapon. It originally came from the countryside as a weeding tool and later evolved into a weapon. There are weapons before and after the shovel, one end is crescent-shaped and the other end is axe-shaped. It is widely used in Buddhism, just like the 62kg ink mord used by Lu in the Water Margin film and television drama, also known as the convenient shovel or crescent shovel. The characteristics of moves are diverse, and the names of moves are generally related to Buddhism.
