Luohe history
Luohe is located in the hinterland of the Central Plains. It was established as a county-level city in 1948 and upgraded to a provincial-level city in 1986. In 2003, it was incorporated into the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration, governing Linying and Wuyang counties, Yancheng, Hui Yuan and Zhaoling districts, and provincial-level economic development zones, with a total area of 26 17 square kilometers and a total population of 2.6 million.

Luohe is an ancient city with a long history and splendid culture. As early as the Neolithic Age, our ancestors settled here. The symbols depicting Peiligang culture found in Jiahu site have been around for 8,000 years, which has advanced the history of China characters by 4,000 years. The unearthed seven-tone bone flute, a national treasure, overthrew the "China flute comes from the west" and the "seven-tone theory", and advanced the history of China music culture for 3000 years. Up to now, the bone flute can still play beautiful melodies. The technology of wine-making excavated by archaeology has pushed the history of wine-making in China forward for more than 3000 years. Xu Shen, a famous Confucian scholar and philologist in the Eastern Han Dynasty, was born here. His Shuo Wen Jie Zi is the earliest dictionary in China and even in the world, and is known as the "ancestor of literate Sect". Luohe City, which began in the Northern Wei Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, was once famous for its developed commerce and land and water transportation. During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, it was already a commodity distribution center of "Jianghuai Department Store, leading to the stars" and was known as the "flood and drought wharf". At present, the main historical sites discovered are: the meditation platform and the Three Wonders Monument verified by Cao Pi in Han Dynasty. They are 20 years earlier than Zhao Zhouqiao, and are known as "the first bridge in the world", and so on.
