Open the map of China. If you draw a straight line between Guangzhou and Changsha, the midpoint of this line is Chenzhou. Yizhang, which is under the jurisdiction of Chenzhou and the foot of Hunan and Guangdong provinces, is the golden section of this line. Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, National Highway 107 and Pingmei Railway branch line run through Yizhang, reaching Guangzhou in the south and Changsha in the north, all of which can be reached at noon.
Yizhang (called Yizhang in ancient times), established in the 13th year of Yang Di's great cause, is located in the southern Hunan border, at the end of Chu and Yuetou, and at the end of Qi. It is the "south gate" of Hunan, which can control Shaoguan when it enters, and cover Hunan when it retreats to prevent potential dangers. Known as the "South Gate" of Hunan.
Due to the barrier of Nanling Mountains, Chenzhou has always been regarded as the destination of the mainland in history. But now, it has become the bridgehead of Hunan's integration into the Pan-Pearl River Delta economic circle, while Yizhang is the outpost of Chenzhou connecting with the Pan-Pearl River Delta, the "back garden of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao" and the "base for the industrial gradient transfer of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao".
Yizhang is famous for Mangshan Mountain and Yaogang Fairy Mountain. Mangshan Mountain is the largest virgin forest in the same latitude of the earth, and it is the "first mountain of primitive ecology in China". Known as "biological gene bank" and "kingdom of animals and plants" by Chinese and foreign scholars, it has been successively rated as "national forest park" and "national nature reserve". Yizhang also enjoys the reputation of "the hometown of nonferrous metals, building materials and coal" in China. At present, there are as many as 9 categories of mineral resources available for exploitation. The Ministry of Land and Resources issued Qitianling as the largest tin mine resource base in the world so far. The proven surface reserves of coal reached 654.38+500 million tons.
Yizhang's strange mountains and strange waters and ingenious natural masterpieces are a trump card in Yizhang's hands.
Strolling through the streets of Yizhang, slogans such as "Back Garden of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao", "Kingdom of Eco-tourism" and "Welcome to the Primitive Ecological Mountain of China" can be seen everywhere.
Mangshan Mountain, located in the south of Yizhang County and at the northern foot of Nanling Mountain, is the remnant vein of Wuling Mountain. Nanling Mountain and Mangshan Mountain are actually connected. The land area is 422,200 mu, including 297,490 mu of Mangshan Forest Management Bureau and 0/24,700 mu of Mangshan Yao Township. The Forest Management Bureau is divided into two forest areas, with a straight line distance of 27.5km from east to west and a straight line distance of14.5km from north to south, and a narrow strip with a width of 4km in the middle, which is concave.
Mangshan originally included Mang Cave, Litou Cave, Jiarong Cave and West Cave. Located at the junction of Hunan and Guangdong provinces, these four caves are connected by forests and mountains, with deep rock valleys and boundless forests, which have become the birthplace and base of Yao and Han people's uprisings in past dynasties.
Mangshan Mountain and Nanling Mountain are actually the same mountain range, and they have two different names because of the provincial boundary. Coincidentally, although the two mountains are connected, Mangshan Mountain is majestic and Nanling Mountain is beautiful, which sets each other off and is quite interesting. Among the scenic spots in Mangshan Mountain, Tiantai Mountain is dominated by stone forests, dangerous peaks and cliffs. Compared with Zhangjiajie, it is no worse than others. Of course, it is eye-catching, and the continuous clouds on the mountain add mystery to these landscapes. Devil's Village is a scenic spot that wins by virgin forest. Thousand-year-old trees abound, and the air is naturally fresh. On the way down the mountain, I happened to see a small village in the mountains, next to terraced fields, and in the distance, Castle Peak. A place like this is enough to wake people up.
