The College of History and Culture of Henan University, formerly known as the History Department of Zhongzhou University, was founded in 1925, and is one of the earliest departments of Henan University. The college has a strong faculty and complete teaching facilities. China Ancient History Research Center, a key research base of humanities and social sciences in Henan Province, and research institutions such as Song History Institute, World History Institute, Modern China Institute, Jewish Institute and Tourism Planning and Development Center of Henan University are one of the supporting disciplines of the Yellow River Civilization and Sustainable Development Research Center of Henan University, a key research base of humanities and social sciences in the Ministry of Education. The college has four majors: history, cultural relics and museum science, tourism management and world history, and has formed a perfect talent training system covering undergraduate, master, doctoral and postdoctoral levels.
